Following up on musicalnovelty's info below, this is from classicflix.com: Sony's Film Noir Classics sets continue with Film Noir Classics Vol. 3 due on *January 16th*. Released via the TCM Vault line, all five films are new to DVD. I know we now have a separate Olive thread, and a separate TCM Vault/WB - which is not complete now since there is also TCM Vault/Universal but no thread yet, and a separate thread for this and a separate thread for that and a separate thread for whathaveyou, etc. etc., but I always thought that if it was non-MOD it should be here in the Upcoming Releases thread, which is the reason it was created way back when, a catch all for everything. So here are two more upcoming releases from Olive, coming Feb. 28th: I don't like either of the covers, but I am glad to see Mike Connors on the WLHS cover.

Criterion releases for March. Yay!: David Lean and A NIght To Remember (tying in to the 100th anniversary of the sinking). Titles include Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Cgrist, Letter Never Sent, The War Room, amd David Lean Directs Noel Coward boxset - which bundles together In Which We Serve, This Happy Breed, Brief Encounter, and Blithe Spirit - and Roy Ward Baker's A Night To Remember. Did you notice that it almost felt like he hadn't seen the film? He writes several paragraphs about Prohibition, then doesn't talk about the film until past the halfway point of the review, and then dismisses it in a few lines.

There's always been something that has been bothering me about the script for this movie. I can understand why Eve might have to set up the Cary Grant character to get killed in the country by the crop duster plane (though that is quite an eleborate way to do so) in order to protect her cover... ...but why in the world is the James Mason character so surprised when Grant comments to him that Eve put her whole body into her deception, when he got that note earlier from her on the train asking what does she do with him in the morning? Did he think they were playing Scrabble?
