Hi, LP, Thanks for being a great host! I think you did a wonderful job. And I wanted to get this in before any votes are cast... I have had the opportunity to moderate at least two Challenges in the past, so I would like it if no one cast a vote for my schedule. I would like someone else to have the honor of moderating a Challenge. This isn't to say you can't gush and enthuse over my schedule in print here; I am always open to bald-faced flattery. Good luck, all!!! filmlover

Special Sales of Classic Titles on DVD & Blu-ray

Thanks, Edge, meant to mention that. Some of the desirable pre-order releases were at 50% for a few hours but B&N changed their prices upward, unfortunately. Among them 12 Angry Men. But you can still get - at least for now - Rules of the Game for $19.99. By the way, if you are an AAA member, sign in throught the AAA website, then to the discount section, and click on the link to Barnes & Noble, you get 10% off the reduced prices. Oh, free shipping is available on orders over $25, which is not hard to spend. -

I dropped by Best Buy tonight and they have various volumes of the Three Stooges Collection for only $9.99 each. That's a great price! -
For Chaplin fans, one DVD I will always recommend is "Unknown Chaplin: The Master at Work": http://www.amazon.com/Chaplin-Master-at-Work/dp/B000BB14ZS/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1319658690&sr=1-1 It was a three-part documentary series done by Kevin Brownlow. Really excellent.

Your Fu Manchurian day is very appealing because of the wide variety within the basic character. SansFin, I've seen Daughter of the Dragon, but I'd really love to see the first two with Oland if only for the oddness of Jean Arthur being in not just one, but two, Fu Manchu movies.

Kyle, we miss you around here, buddy. I hope you are just taking a vacation. We can't have you and Robert O. both be missing in action.
