  1. Wow, what a great set of schedules. And, as always, it is hard to select...but I just noticed that we're almost down to 24 hours and counting (well, actually, since we're gaining an extra hour tonight, make that 25...), so I have to vote!!!

Argghh! It's like being on Restaurant Row, I want to get some from this place, some from thiat one, and some from the two places across the street!!! Dang! They are all so enticing.

But since I have to cast my ballot, it foes to the one that had the greatest number of things in it I would like to see in a week: salutes to Eric Blore, Franz Waxman, Elisha Cook, Jr,, Shakespeare, Ronald Colman, and Ben Johnson, plus Sunrise, The Court Jester, and Christmas movies. So, Sunny75 gets my vote this time around.

  2. There are 20% off and 15% off coupons but for one item, and 10% off for the entire order. However, when you go through AAA.com first so to get the 10%, it cannot be combined with the coupons. A lot of people have more luck when they join B&N and get additional discounts, but that costs $25, I think.

I placed my order through AAA and spent just over $100 in order to get BillMeLater with no interest for 6 months (want to keep money on hand for upcoming BF sales). Ordered Criterions on Blu: Beauty and the Beast, Island of Lost Souls, and The Four Feathers plus DVD sets of Mike Hammer: the Complete Collection (Darren McGavin) and Eleanor & Frankin Double Feature.

I might place one more order before the sale ends. Rules of the Game and Fanny & Alexander come out before the sale ends. Unfortunately, 12 Angry men comes out the day after it ends.

    Are you getting anything?

  3. Hi, LP,

Thanks for being a great host! I think you did a wonderful job.

And I wanted to get this in before any votes are cast...

I have had the opportunity to moderate at least two Challenges in the past, so I would like it if no one cast a vote for my schedule. I would like someone else to have the honor of moderating a Challenge. This isn't to say you can't gush and enthuse over my schedule in print here; I am always open to bald-faced flattery.

    Good luck, all!!!

  4. Thanks, Edge, meant to mention that.

Some of the desirable pre-order releases were at 50% for a few hours but B&N changed their prices upward, unfortunately. Among them 12 Angry Men. But you can still get - at least for now - Rules of the Game for $19.99.

By the way, if you are an AAA member, sign in throught the AAA website, then to the discount section, and click on the link to Barnes & Noble, you get 10% off the reduced prices. Oh, free shipping is available on orders over $25, which is not hard to spend.

    > You have made a wonderful schedule. It could not have been easy to find all the movies shown in that movie and fit them together. Your Fu Manchurian day is very appealing because of the wide variety within the basic character.

    SansFin,

I've seen Daughter of the Dragon, but I'd really love to see the first two with Oland if only for the oddness of Jean Arthur being in not just one, but two, Fu Manchu movies.
