  1. There's a DVD offer on ebay for the movie "Duel of the Titans, (english audio). The condition says very good, and can be played on all DVD players. I'm just wondering if anyone here knows if this DVD would be a crappy bootleg version, or the real thing in professional quality. If anyone has any info on why this rare DVD is all of a sudden available, please reply, and also give me an opinion on whether I should purchase it.
  2. Thanks for all the help. I seem to have that kind of luck with a lot of my favorite movies. They all must be unusual flicks. The same thing happened to me with the Steve Reeves/ Verna Lisi movie: "Duel Of The Titans". I wanted it so bad that I bought a bootleg from a seller, and boy, is the quality bad. I did find a decent version of "Sheperd Of The Hills" with John Wayne and Betty Field. Another toughie to find.
  3. Hmm. 1959. I think I was about 8. I still remember enjoying the movie. I think movies were about 25 cents or 35 cents for kids back then. Those were the days. I WANT THIS MOVIE.
  4. Wow, that's great. I don't even remember that part, but I've got this urge to add it to my video collection. Have you seen it for sale anywhere? e-bay never heard of it, and I don't seem to be able to locate it on any other movie site.
  5. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen the movie "The Big Fisherman" with Howard Keel. I know TCM has probably never shown it, and it doesn't seem to be very well known by any of the movie stores on the web including e-bay. I was pretty young when my Father took me to see it. I think it was an interesting movie. I always seem to want the ones that are not available.
  6. Thanks for all the info. Yeah, The scheduled times are not always on target, and I noticed that some movies that are listed never are played, and some other movie is playing in their place. I also noticed that my VCR clock is not accurate, so I'll keep an eye on it. Personally, I think some of the most interesting movies are on in the middle of the night when we're sleeping.
  7. A lot of the late night, and early morning movies do not seem to start when they say they do, so this really screws up your VCR recording time, and cuts off the ends of the movies. Has anyone noticed this problem too. I wonder if it's done on purpose so you can't record movies. Many of those movies have strange start times like 2:15, 4:45, etc. I thought it was pretty unusual. It really **** me off. I almost feel like canceling my "Now Playing" movie guide, and just sticking to the newspaper.
  8. Yes I agree. The women of those days amaze me. They were so beautiful, and yet they had so many other talents that were so impressive (unlike today). Actresses back then were classy, sophisticated, sexy, and multi-talented in so many ways. They left just enough for the imagination, but could bring you down to your knees with sexual excitement.

  10. Thanks for the link. I'll definitely want to go there and check it out.
  11. She never got a lot of publicity for being a beautiful actress, but I sure think she one of the prettiest actresses I've seen. She always seems to have red hair, but I bet she's really a brunette. I wonder if she's still around.
  12. What is the name of the movie about the beginning of the Roman Empire where two babies named Romolus, and Ramus were sent drifting down the river where some wolf found them and raised them? It was so many years ago since I saw this movie, but I enjoyed it, and I'd like to search for it so I can buy it, but I need to know what the exact title is.
  13. O.K., Now I know I wasn't dreaming when I saw a good western with Rock Hudson where he played the life and times of John Wesley Hardin. How come all the experts on movie web sites have never heard of it. Has anyone else seen this movie?
  14. Other great romantic comedies; Keep an eye open for "It's Love I'm After", "Affectionately Yours", and "Never Say Goodbye".
  15. Greetings. I need to know what the name of the song is that Rudy Vallee sang in the W.C.Fields movie "International House". Can anyone please help. Thank You
