One of my many favorite subjects of interest is Vampires and this wonderful, fascinating adaptation from one of the oldest, vampire stories is also one of my many favorite films. I watched this movie for the very first time on "Epix 3" in 2010. It is such an enchanting story, it holds your interest. There is nothing about "Blood and Roses" that I could possibly complain about. All of it was brilliantly put together and Roger Vadim is one of those filmmakers that stands out. He was such a great Talent! The style and the fashion sense was so beautiful, particularly for the two, female star
OK. I once watched a movie about a post war veteran going to stay at this friend's or a bed and breakfast type of place in the countryside and he meets this girl who is so beautiful to him. She thinks he is the most handsome man on earth. In the end, we find out that they were only seeing the inner beauty of each other because in reality, he was actually an injured war soldier and she was real homely looking. I have been looking for the name of this movie for years. I saw it on classic movies when I was in high school (1986) and it has haunted me ever since.
West Side Story (the movie) and the 15th Anniversary of 9./11: The year 2001 was a rather strange and sad year, overall. Movies were at an all time low, and, for me and my family, my dad had been bed-ridden with a serious illness that eventually took him over and killed him; He died from his illness in late January of 2001. An autopsy, the results of which came back several months later, revealed a rare but-then-always fatal form of encephalitis known as Limbic Encephalitis. Life that year was saddened for all of us, due to the passing of a warm-hearted, wonderful father, friend, great conver
I watched this movie a long time ago. But, basically, a widowed father has two socialite daughters. The older one is much quieter, more serious and strict. A man comes into their lives and is set up with the younger daughter, even though the older daughter obviously likes him (there's a lot of banter). She's ignored because of her age, demeanor, etc. Towards the end the man realises that he's actually in love with the older sister, who eventually becomes less strict etc. I think it was set in Italy. It was in colour.
