I have the 5.1 surround system, I really love it, However my current system doesn't full take full advantage of it yet.

As I am on using a standred definition satilite receiver and tv.

I am waiting for HDTV prices to come down more, and content to increase in HD material to view.

Dish network now has almost 40 stations in HD and growing almost monthly.

One of the main stations I would love to see is TCM in Hd.

I realize there are a number of techinical issues instation like TCM and even the History channel going Hd as all of their material is shot in SD and older material may not even be that good quality.

I am wondering if there are any plames to bring TCM to HD in the near future.

I know there are several process aviasble to upscale mater ial to HD and wondered if TCM had looked into them.

A surround system is nice, but it doesn't do much for watching most classic movies, many of them were mono. Some of them have "enhanced" soundtracks with artificial stereo separation, but I don't like those. Oddly enough, about the only thing that reminds me of having surround when watching TCM are the station promos.
