ken123
Where are the real " Glamour Girls ", Margaret Dumont, Allison Skipworth, Marie Dressler, and Marjorie Main ? Joan Bennett as a blonde is unrecognizable to me.
vecchiolarry
James, Just a minor correction: Joan, Joan and Hedy are at the Uplifters Polo Field watching a polo match. Also half in the picture at left is Reginald Gardiner and the woman in the background in the sunglasses at right is Nell, my grandmother. This picture, I suspect is from '37 or '38 and the gentleman's elbow & knee to the right of Hedy could be Gene Markey. GarboManiac
OMG! The woman in the sunglasses is NELL??? Ha! What a hoot! Who would have thought I would have posted such an historical picture? I just can't stand it! Thanks for the correction, too! I will go fix it right away. You know Hedy always said Reggie is the one she SHOULD have married!

vecchiolarry
James, Unfortunately, Reggie was already married to a lady who didn't socialize much. Nice attractive lady but shy. I liked her and we all adored Reg, of course! He escorted many, many a beautiful lady, especially Hedy to several events over the years.... GarboManiac
Ah! That is why. I always wondered cause Hedy usually had no compunction about getting married. Thanks for the update. Love that picture, now!

It has given me trouble before. Stoney couldn't see it so I reposted it for her and it worked for a while but I guess it is gone again. Wait a few minutes and try again. Sorry!
