I thought Joan Crawford was at her loveliest in the movie "Susan And God". She wore a gown in that movie, that was backless, except for a twisted strap down the back. I later saw that gown on another actress in another movie, but I can't remember who or what movie.

I also remember seeing a wide-leg pajama outfit that Dolores Del Rio wore in "Flying Down To Rio",on Betty Grable in a later Fred and Ginger movie,"The Gay Divorcee", I think. It's the one where a very young Betty sings "Let's Knock Knees". She was so cute in it.

I love the sweet little saying in "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" that Phyllis and Van Johnson are always saying to each other--"Why are you so cute?" "I had to be,if I was going to get such a good-looking fella". That is so sweet!

It is one of the GREATEST films, but terribly sad. The photography alone is sensational, but the costumes, and sets, and the historical angle. It is a MUST! Especially, or if only, for the combination of Olivier and Leigh!

Yes in real life as well as reel life. Joan once said he was the love of her life.

Love that reclining picture of Viv. She was absolutely stunning in THAT HAMILTON WOMAN. My favorite actress.

That dress Dolores is wearing is gorgeous. She was one of the best-dressed women in Hollywood. Even Orson Welles couldn't get over her wardrobe, especially her hand-made skimpies! ;o)
