Hi Jeff,

 

Thank you very, very much for those pictures of Mae Murray.

Yes, that is her in the photo with the big feathered hat.

 

You can see why she was "The Girl with the Bee Stung Lips" and she was also, "The Gardenia of the Screen" in rivalry to Corinne Griffith, who was "The Orchid of the Screen".... Although Corinne told me, "As flowers, we both stunk!".....

 

Mae had beautiful porcelain skin and she managed to hold her looks until about 1960.

A friend of mine told me that the author, Richard Griffith, once saw Mae walking down a street in NYC, holding her head up trying to keep a firm chin and fell off the sidewalk curb......

 

I like the pictures of her in the big hat and the one in a cloche hat and scarf, smiling. It shows her beauty to its best advantage.
