Who is the therapist in Daniel Mann's (Director)film"Maurie" aka "Big Mo"?

Recommended Posts

The therapist for the character Bo Swenson plays is who? When I look up complete cast, I can not find it. I heard it was Gary Melkonian. Why do they not list him? I would really like to know, so please help! Thanks.

Svenson (spelled with a "v," not a "w") played John Kennedy "Jack" Twyman, teammate of Rochester/Cincinnati Royals basketball player Maurice Stokes, who became Stokes's legal guardian after he was permanently paralyzed during the team's final game of the 1958 NBA season. Twyman was not a therapist.

Yes, Twyman was his legal guardian but who was the Therapist who helped "Big Mo", day in and day out, in the rehabilitation tank? It was Gary Melkonian's character in the original film directed by Daniel Mann, and nobody else, therefore why wasn't the credit given to Gary Melkonian?
