Film Chain Game

Let's get a decision by sweetbabykmd or bobhopefan.

Aftermath, you reprinted the rules, so take a look at the connection between the first example and I will elaborate on it:

It's a Wonderful Life w/ James Stewart...

James Stewart costarred in

>

> After the Thin Man w/ William Powell...

William Powell costarred in

>

> My Man Godfrey w/ Carole Lombard...

and as the note points out the next title had to be a Carole Lombard film...

Those are the rules, so let one of them decide. I am not changing anything. You just got a little mixed-up in understanding them.

This is the original thread, it's self-explanatory!

Please, Please read the above! I don't like to be provoked into an argument or accused of changing someone's reply this is uncalled for!. I am just following the above rules for all of my 65 responses that never before has been questioned. The above is the exact wording by BobHope Fan in his original post of October 14, 2006, and I fail to understand how it can be misinterpreted!

aftermath, I am not provoking any argument and I have not accused you of changing someone's reply.

Go back just a bit and see where the interruption occured. sweetbabykmd was confused because you answered Joseph Cotten in response to Barbara Stanwyck being in Sorry Wrong Number. She also believes the rule to be a co-star in the movie just mentioned is the next link in the chain. Please correct me if I am wrong, sweetbabykmd.

See, aftermath, the way you mention Cotten it does tie into Barbara Stanwyck, yes, but it doesn't tie into the previous film, Sorry Wrong Number. So you see, it really does require two things happening at the same time, the costar and the relation to the previous film.

As I said, I am happy to have bobhopefan say what he wants. No fights, no quarrels, just a simple interpretation of the guidelines.

Sorry things got out of hand and it's my first confrontation on board since joining. But I still think I'm right and will not waver, I am going by the rules established by BobHopeFan. I am not arrogant, just unshakeable when I know I am right. Let's wait for the source of the thread Bob Hope Fan and I will abide by his verdict. Again, I apologize for my foolishness!! But still read the above ten more times! :)

I didn't "Reprint the rules" , I only capitalized them to show you and emphasize where your going wrong. Or am I reading a different language? Or did you mean something else and not really make that statement?

Sorry I was driving home in traffic (Real bad traffic) I thought the game was played by naming a star with a film. ie: James Cagney / White Heat and the the next would be someone in White Heat and Another film they were in (Virginia Mayo / The Flame and the Arrow) and so on.........

The last do to the of the mix up was,lets say....for arguement sake;

Van Johnson/ Brigadoon

Gene Kelly /The Devil Makes Three

I have been playing like sweetbaby, the difference, I think is, I like to repeat the movie I'm working off of, and the star I'm working with, before my selection, e.g.

It's a Wonderful Life

w / Jimmy Stewart - After the Thin Man

By putting the actor's name first, before the movie, there is no confusion what you are looking for . . . You are looking for another actor from After the Thin Man

Perhaps some of the confusion comes from the original post:

then you give a Carole Lombard movie with another

> actor or actress... get it? let me start

>

> Brigadoon w/ Van Johnson

It might have been better if BobHopeFan had continued with another Carole Lombard movie, instead of starting all over with Van because there is no connection between him and Carole, unless I missed a movie somewhere in which they co-starred either together or with someone else.

Am I clear or have I jumbled it up?

It's clear to me, Anne.

aftermath, we can all still wait until bobhopefan comes in to say officially what it is, if you like, or will you agree with the four of us (vallo, mrsl, sweetbabykmd, and me) that the the costar who is next must have been in the previous film?

But Barbara Stanwyck was in both "Sorry Wrong Number" and "The Man With The Cloak"

True, but you are jumping to Joseph Cotten in Man with the Cloak, but he wasn't in the last entry Sorry Wrong Number. That's why Burt Lancaster works as the next step after Sorry Wrong Number because he was in it, see?
