"Isn't It Romantic" -- sung by Jeanette MacDonald (and others)  in Love Me Tonight (1933)

(One of the greatest musical sequences on film. Jeanette comes in at 4:40)

Next: Another song from a film directed by Rouben Mamoulian

(OK, I'm going to get into trouble for this, but if the shoe fits... and this is such a great song.)

"Look for the Silver Lining" sung by Marilyn Miller in Sally (1929)

Next: Sung by a different Marilyn (of course if we were doing Broadway, I would post Marilyn Cooper singing "The Grass Is Always Greener" from Woman of the Year.)
