"Solomon" sung by the divine Elisabeth Welch, who introduced this fabulous song in Cole Porter's Nymph Errant, London 1933. This rendition is from a 1980 television show.

Film song by a Black artist who performed occasionally in Europe.

I had trouble finding this thread! There are too many new game threads (for my taste!) What has occasioned this promiscuous creation of new games?  I'm sure many of you like them, but is it possible to block threads the way one can block people (which I've never done)? That way, I'll be able to find the games I like more easily. Apologies for the venting.

"Pocketful of Dreams" -- Sing You Sinners (1938) featuring a very young singing and dancing (and accordion-playing) Donald O'Connor

Next: A movie song about a pastime that you don't like.

Swithin, Miles and I have been mentioning this for quite awhile, but we're ignored, the threads just keeping piling up, a few here just keep adding new ones and don't care about the threads that are now lost. I found this popular thread pushed to page 3 the other day, because of all these threads. So there, now I vented, you are not the only one who feels like this.
