"Czardas" (Monti) -- played on violin by Dr. M. in Elmer's body in The Black Pit of Dr. M. (1959)

(This tips off Dr. M's family that Dr. M has come back. Dr. M explains to his shocked family: "Yes it's me, I came back in Elmer's body.)

Next: Played in a movie about sports but the song is not about sports

I Remember Mama (1948) theme by Roy Webb. I love this beautiful, evocative theme, played over the credits and here and there in the film. It's unsung (in both senses). Although Roy Webb was nominated for seven Oscars, he was not nominated for I Remember Mama.

Another Roy Webb movie theme
