Townfolk you'd like to meet.

Recommended Posts

There is a neat thread ; "Townfolk you would like to avoid". Let's turn that concept on it's head. What movie town would you most like to visit? My own favorite is "Inisfree" from the wonderful John Ford film "The Quiet Man". I'd like to stop by and visit the Thorntons, buy Micklaleen Flynn a drink, and discuss the Irish problem with Rev. Playfair and Father Lonnergan.

Bedford Falls from "It's a Wonderful Life". It would be nice to stop in at Martini's to have a drink with Uncle Billy and George Bailey. Also would go to the local movie theater to see "The Bell's of St. Mary's" with Violet Bick

and Mary Hatch. And stick out my tongue at Mr. Potter as I pass his bank on my way to harmonize with Bert and Ernie. I'd be the luckiest man in town.

The 2 railroad men arguing at train station, just before the big match. Were arguing about the river "Shannon"-My real last name! It's so huge, you can see-it on a world globe!
