Two of my favorites are Callaway Went Thataway (11:15 AM) and Hearts of the West (6:15 PM). Both are "modern" westerns in that Callaway was made in 1951 and set in 1951 and Hearts was made in 1975, but set in 1930's. Both are also about Hollywood making westerns.
