Will Joe Biden Be The First Presidential Nominee In 80 Years To Refuse A Debate?

AUGUST 3, 2020 By Tristan Justice

Joe Biden has shut down debates this cycle, using the Wuhan coronavirus as the 77-year-old candidate’s excuse to call off challenges with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders when it’s actually become the Democrat nominee’s saving grace.

Now, as the general election season nears full bloom next month after each party’s nominating conventions, debates have re-entered the discussion as the Trump campaign requests more while Democrats and their allies in the media plea for Biden to steer clear of facing Trump head to head.

Donald Trump bans H-1B tech workers from federal government contracts

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday that bans technology workers on H-1B visas from replacing American citizens in federal government contracts. The order will ensure that Federal agencies prioritise hiring American workers and not people on an H-1B visa.

“We believe jobs must be offered to American workers first,” Donald Trump said in a statement. -

The order mandated all federal agencies to carry out an internal audit to assess whether they are in compliance with the requirement of appointing only US citizens and nationals to competitive service. The Department of Labor will also finalise a guidance to prevent H-1B employers from moving H-1B workers to other employer’s job sites to displace American workers.

Suddenly Dems want to scrap presidential debates! Ha!

By Post Editorial Board

August 3, 2020 | 7:38pm

Get this: Democrats want to scrap this year’s presidential debates. It’s not hard to guess why.

“Whatever you do,” CNN’s Joe Lockhart, who served as President Bill Clinton’s press secretary, advised Joe Biden last week, “don’t debate” President Trump.

Dem strategist Zac Petkanas argues: “This is not a normal presidential election, and Trump is not a legitimate candidate” and so doesn’t deserve a debate. (Never mind that Trump won an overwhelming majority of electoral votes.)

At The New York Times, Elizabeth Drew says debates aren’t substantive. She discounts the “relevance” of the “carefully prepared one-liner” that sways viewers.

Just how dumb do they think Americans are? The real reasons Dems don’t want Uncle Joe in a live, unscripted square-off couldn’t be clearer: They’re absolutely terrified he’ll be a disaster.

It’s why they’re so happy he’s spending much of the campaign in his basement, rather than talking with people or appearing live on TV.

Before last month, he went 90 days straight without a press conference. In a tweet, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) dubbed Dems’ “scrap the debates” push “Basement strategy, part 2.”

Of course, Biden backers are right to be worried about unleashing the presumed nominee. Drew claims he’s “done just fine” in debates, but she was likely on Mars during the primaries.

Recall how in one debate answer on segregation, Biden meandered through a reply that mentioned his wife and former wife; said we must “make sure that every single child does, does in fact, have 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds go to school [sic]”; and insisted social workers help parents raise kids.

He added: “Play the radio. Make sure the television — excuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night.” He ended with a discussion of Venezuela.

Look, the 77-year-old Biden is famous for his gaffes, incoherent sentences, contradictions and non-sequiturs. It’s why his cognitive state has become an issue.

Fact is, Dems would never call for scrapping debates if their nominee were a gifted orator. Yet if Biden can’t be trusted in front of a TV camera, how on earth can he be trusted to run the country?

As the Filibuster Goes, So Goes the GOP

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." This was the nightmare of Ben Franklin. Yet, with passage this spring of a $4 trillion bailout of an economy facing historic losses because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Nancy Pelosi's House having voted out another $3 trillion, we may have reached Franklin's peril point.

Indeed, if Democrats capture the Senate and win the White House, as many polls now project, it is not easy to see who or what prevents an uncontrolled explosion of fresh spending and a concomitant expansion of federal power.

Consider. In his eulogy to John Lewis at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Barack Obama called on Democrats, if victorious in November, to kill the Senate filibuster, all but calling the filibuster an instrument of systemic racism.

Yet, the filibuster has been and remains one of the distinguishing features of the United States Senate. It allows for extended deliberation by requiring, not 51 but 60 votes, a supermajority, to shut off debate and pass major bills.

If Democrats capture the Senate and abolish the filibuster, the Republican minority in 2021 would be stripped of virtually the only effective weapon in its arsenal to halt, slow, or shape U.S. law.

That is exactly what Obama was urging in his eulogy to Lewis. "If politicians want to honor John," said a surprisingly militant Obama, "Let's honor him by revitalizing the law he was willing to die for ... (And) once we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, we should keep marching."

"Keep marching"? To where?

Said Obama: "By making sure every American is automatically registered to vote, including former inmates... By adding polling places, and expanding early voting, and making Election Day a national holiday... By guaranteeing that every American citizen has equal representation ... including the American citizens who live in Washington, D.C., and in Puerto Rico.”

"If all this takes eliminating the filibuster, another Jim Crow relic ... then that's what we should do."

By calling the filibuster "another Jim Crow relic" the ex-president was putting progressives on notice that failure to get rid of it would be to collaborate with racists.

After abolishing the filibuster, says Obama, Democrats should ram through statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C., thereby expanding the Senate to 104 members, and adding four new Democratic senators. That new Senate, says Obama, should enact every law possible to enlarge and expand the electorate, including extending the ballot to ex-convicts.

His eyes open to the potential of a Senate where 51 Democrats can enact a socialist agenda, Sen. Bernie Sanders hastily endorsed Obama's call: "President Obama is absolutely right. ... Getting rid of the filibuster would enable Democrats to pass a comprehensive agenda to guarantee the rights and dignity of everyone in this country."

This is but the beginning. If Democrats deprive a Republican minority of the filibuster, there would be no one stopping Congress from passing or the president from signing new anti-gun legislation.

The door would be open to legislation putting DACA "dreamers" on a fast track to citizenship, and to granting amnesty to illegal migrants, and to putting the 11 million to 22 million who are already here on the road to citizenship and the ballot box.

With amnesties, open borders bills, a renewal of chain migration, an end to deportations, and new restrictions on ICE and the Border Patrol, a Democratic Congress, by opening the gates to millions, could turn traditionally red states such as Arizona, Georgia, and Texas as blue as New York, Illinois, and California.

As The Wall Street Journal also notes, one of the agenda items of the Biden-Bernie-AOC Democratic Party is the raising of payroll taxes, personal income taxes, corporate taxes, capital gains taxes, and estate taxes. All of these newer and higher tax rates are included in a $3 trillion package to which Joe Biden has signed on.

If Democrats gain control of Congress and the filibuster is killed, reparations for slavery, the Green New Deal, "Medicare for All" and harsh climate change laws are on the table for Democrats to decide alone, without hearing from the GOP.

In a 2017 public letter, Democrats endorsed the retention of the filibuster, both on principle and because of the unique character of the Senate: "We are steadfastly committed to ensuring that this great American institution continues to serve as the world's greatest deliberative body."

If the filibuster is thrown out, writes the Journal, "The door to radicalism is getting busted wide open, and Americans of both parties may not like what comes out the other side." Another Ben Franklin quote comes to mind. "A republic if you can keep it," Franklin told the lady in Philadelphia who had asked what kind of government they had created.

If the filibuster goes, and the Democratic left runs wild in the next two years, will that republic survive the disfiguring surgery?

I posted some articles from alternative media about Mr. George Floyd a couple of weeks ago. It's about time someone like Tucker from the venerated Fox News brings more information to light. For me, the police officers were doing their jobs and should be released immediately. All of them. Not Guilty.

The alternative media gets a gold medal for this one .... Paul Craig Roberts had the guts to expose the affair for what it is ...

Carping about whether or not Biden shows up for a debate, you sound like someone looking for small "gotcha" victories wherever you can find them, Jake, as you reluctantly get resigned to the probable inevitability of the big story, Trump facing defeat in November.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Paul Craig Roberts

The proof of this old adage is the picture of police officer Chauvin with his knee on George Floyd’s neck.

The entire world has seen this picture and had it interpreted for them by a lazy, incompetent, and dishonest American media without any regard to evidence or the medical examiner’s report. The official story is that Floyd died from suffocation resulting from the pressure of Chauvin’s knee on Floyd’s neck.

Much has been made of the police removing Floyd from the squad car where they had him safely ensconced and placing him on his stomach in the street so they could kill him.

We all saw it with our own eyes, so we know it is true.  But it isn’t.

As the medical examiner’s report shows, Floyd’s blood indicates a fatal dose of fentanyl, a killer opioid.  I have researched many studies of fentanyl’s lethality.  I have provided links here: https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/07/09/what-is-a-fatal-dose-of-fentanyl/ [1]  and here:  https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2020/07/07/there-is-no-second-autopsy-of-george-floyds-death/ [2] .

We know for a fact that small amounts of fentanyl can stop breathing.  See: https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/fentanyl [3]   Notice especially:

“Can you overdose on fentanyl?

Yes, a person can overdose on fentanyl. An overdose occurs when a drug produces serious adverse effects and life-threatening symptoms. When people overdose on fentanyl, their breathing can slow or stop. This can decrease the amount of oxygen that reaches the brain, a condition called hypoxia. Hypoxia can lead to a coma and permanent brain damage, and even death.”

Note also: “Synthetic opioids, including fentanyl, are now the most common drugs involved in drug overdose deaths in the United States. In 2017, 59.8 percent of opioid-related deaths involved fentanyl.”

The police are not medics or toxicologists, but they sensed that Floyd had a problem far beyond passing fake $20 bills and questioned him. When they got Floyd in the police car to take him for booking, he said “I can’t breathe” and “I want to lay on the ground.”

Chauvin, a more experienced officer, realized Floyd was in trouble. The police acceded to Floyd’s request, removed him from the car, and put him on the ground as requested. The police put him on his stomach because one effect of a fentanyl overdose is nausea and the police did not want Floyd to choke to death on his own vomit.

Floyd was restrained so that he did not flail about using what little oxygen he was getting prior to the arrival on the scene of medics. The police were trying to prolong his life until the medics arrived.

Some of those Americans still capable of engaging in rational thought rather than emote on que say that nevertheless the knee on the neck aided Floyd’s death from his overdose.  This makes no sense. A fatal dose of fentanyl is fatal.  Period.  It needs no aid to kill any more than a 44 magnum shot between the eyes needs any aid to kill.

When I read some of the commentary on my articles in which I objectively set out the facts—just the facts—I conclude that a number of Americans are extremely stupid and extremely biased against white people.  Their interest is not in truth but in denunciation. They remind me of Karl Marx who wrote that criticism “is a weapon. Its object is an enemy it wants not to refute but to destroy. . . .Its essential patos is indignation, its essential task, denunciation.”

Lenin used words in the same way, just as do Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the presstitute media and a large number of American university academics.  Lenin said that his use of damning words was “calculated to evoke in the reader hatred, aversion, and contempt  . . . calculated to destroy the opponent, to wipe his organization off of the face of the earth. . . . Against such politial enemies I then conducted a fight of extermination.”

That is the fight that the presstitutes, the Democrats, and the liberal-progressive-left are conducting against white people in North America, Australia, and Europe.

Will white people realize the assult on themselves or will they go the way of history?
