THE RESISTANCE TO THE ILLEGITIMATE (MENTALLY CHALLENGED OCCUPANT) BIDEN ADMINISTRATION ...

Jake, about your title of this thread with the WINNING! WINNING! WINNING! Do you not feel, in view of the street protests that started with George Floyd's death, the over 142,000 deaths (and counting) from covid 19, culminating in polls saying that only 20% of Americans think the country to headed in the right direction that it is now inappropriate?

To continue to have that same thread title, with all those WINNINGS, particularly in view of a pandemic ravaging your nation, looks cold and insensitive to the suffering currently taking place in your nation.

In view of that, why not consider renaming the thread to something more reflective of the time?

You are correct, but Trump is winning because he continues to make money off his properties, as do his associates off theirs.  Also, he is still in office.  God help America and the world that that will end in Jan 2021.  The American people are LOSING.  Tens of thousands of businesses will never recover from the Pandemic due to Trump's disastrous handling of it and the economy.  Those who still have jobs have and will make less than before and will have reduced benefits (if any).  The richest 10% are continuing to do very well, but the other 90% of Americans are doing terribly economically.

The stock market is NOT the economy.

Do Masks Protect Against Coronavirus?

Do Masks Protect Against Coronavirus?

Paul Craig Roberts

As I explained recently based on the available studies, N95 and higher masks offer viral protection from inhaling airborn virus.  Surgical masks offer very little if any, and bandanas or cloth masks offer none.

I received a few rude letters from the usual know-it-alls who seldom know anything who maintained that there were no differences between N95 masks and surgical masks, etc.

Some people insist that mask reqiurements are a conspiracy to take away their freedom, and some of these people maintain that their right not to wear a mask takes precedence over public health.  Some even claim that masks injure health and can cause death.  I wonder why we don’t see medical personnel, surgeons involved in hours long operations, dentists and oral hygenists, and lab technicians working with pathogens dropping dead from mask use.  The masks are intended for longer use than grocery shopping or sitting in a waiting room for a doctor’s appointment.

One never knows what to do with people so certain in their ignorance.  Below are a few of the many available studies that explain difference between N95 and surgical masks and certify that yes, N95 masks do what they are supposed to do and offer protection against viruses. The protection is not 100% and might not even be 95%, but greatly exceeds the protection of surgical and cloth masks.

The N95 mask is the lower end of virus protection. The highest protection mask is P100. I focus on the N95 mask, because it is available to the public. In 2017 I could purchase them in pharmacies. Today you have to search online for a supplier.  See, for example: https://clinicalsuppliesusa.com/collections/n95-mask  [1]

The Morning Briefing: It Might Be Time to Let the Liberal Riot Hellholes Burn

Let Seattle and Portland Riot Themselves Into Oblivion

Happy Monday, brilliant readers of the Kruiser Morning Briefing.

A little over a month ago I, led the Briefing by writing about the CHAZ/CHOP embarrassment in Seattle, only semi-seriously suggesting that it might be best for President Trump to leave them to their own devices if the little experiment in anarchy stuck around until Election Day. The one good thing about CHAZ/CHOP was that the brats didn’t riot as much while they were playing live-action SimCity.

As with just about everything that has happened since March, things have gotten even more out of hand since then. The Pacific Northwest has become riot central now, with both Seattle and Portland spiraling into chaos that seems more like a bad movie than real life.

Letting Democrat ruined cities burn is an option - just so long as they don't get any "relief funding" from the rest of America because of it.

Having voted for Democrats in this day and age is having some pretty dire consequences and it's an important lesson being learned. This doesn't mean that voting for Republicans is usually a whole lot better, but by now people should be realizing that President Trump and his MI backing is something different altogether. He and they are the course-correctors; the saviors of the Republic.

This November is the time to give them complete political power - super-majorities in both Houses. There is a tremendous amount of cleaning to be done, and President Trump and the patriots can accomplish it much faster and better - and more permanently - with the citizens behind them in the effort.

The only positive thing that will come out of it will be the comeback of "give me five" greeting.

“The mobs of the great cities add just so much to the support of pure government as sores do to the strength of the human body. It is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution.”

No, because the tactic is to just keep repeating the WISH enough, some will accept it as REALITY. (clinical definition of brain washing)

Sorry, it's not fooling any observant person with two eyes & a brain. (counter argument: "you're misinformed/watching fake news") Re: brain.

Americans (the world actually) are extremely unhappy about how far down we have sunk under this regime. I don't like playing the blame game, but absolutely think the US wouldn't have hit this rock bottom if there was actual leadership.

(PS nice Crumb drawing ^^)

The Lincoln Project is just another way for hacks to milk (liberal) donors

July 27, 2020 | 8:06pm

A couple of erstwhile Republican operatives who notably failed to elect GOP presidents are now trying to elect a Democratic one.

They call their super PAC, self-importantly, the Lincoln Project. The operation is devoted to churning out harsh, often ridiculously over-the-top ads attacking President Trump. The media and progressives on Twitter — the Lincoln Project’s real political base — inevitably praise the ads.

The project’s operatives tend to this constituency with a slavish devotion, catering to its longstanding hatreds and its momentary passions.

They know that without cable- TV mentions and Twitter buzz, the Lincoln Project — which doesn’t spend much on actually broadcasting its much-vaunted ads — would be a complete irrelevance. So far they have proved more adept at this game than they did at electing John McCain or Mitt Romney.

It is certainly understandable to be a Republican who’s appalled at Trump and refuses to vote for him. But it’s another thing entirely to go raise millions from Democratic donors and run ads not just against Trump, but against run-of-the-mill GOP senators whose only offense is having an “R” next to their names.

Reckoning With the Riots

Conrad Black, American Greatness July 28, 2020

The showdown is coming over urban violence in America. The continuing rioting and destruction erupting in new cities every few days is almost certain to provide yet another profound demarcation of opinion over how to govern the United States and address the problems that have so stirred the country since the killing of African American George Floyd by a white Minneapolis policeman on May 25.

The Woke War on Religion

Samuel Gregg Spectator USA July 28, 2020

Though you wouldn’t know it from most American media outlets, the phenomenon of vandalizing and burning religious sites which is accelerating in Europe has, like a virus, jumped an ocean and is now among us.

Over the past month, statues of Christ and the Virgin Mary have been damaged in states as far apart as Colorado, Missouri, New York, Tennessee, and Massachusetts. On July 11, a vehicle was driven into a Catholic church in Florida with the clear intent of burning the building to the ground while congregants were inside.

Why They Despise and Smear Thomas Jefferson

By Derek Dobalian

July 28, 2020

Every few months the American people are treated to new attacks on Thomas Jefferson. Are these new attacks? No, they are just recycled ones that the left, and the establishment in general, continue to exaggerate and use to defame one of the greatest intellectuals who ever lived. Recently, there have been increasing calls to tear down his statues and rename schools named after him. Why? Well they give a few different reasons, all of them being frivolous and deceitful. The main charge, of course, is that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. Of course, this was at a time when slavery was widely accepted and most of Jefferson’s contemporaries also participated in the practice. You may hear the left trash Washington for owning slaves, but you’ll never hear the establishment doing so. They only target Jefferson. Why would this be? Jefferson actually personally opposed slavery and took more action than Washington did to end its practice. In Jefferson’s original draft of the Declaration of Independence, he condemned King George for enslaving people and violating their “sacred rights.” Further, when Jefferson was president, he banned the international slave trade. These actions were far greater anti-slavery steps than George Washington ever took, or any slaveholding founding father for that matter. Yet, we are constantly barraged with seething statements of hatred of Jefferson calling him the worst names in the English language. We get articles from the Smithsonian entitled “The Dark Side of Thomas Jefferson” and Monticello, Jefferson’s own estate, calling him a terrible hypocrite.

Next, in order to worsen the original attack, they tell us that Jefferson actually had many children with one of his slaves. But this is a lie, and the liars who promote it know this. An objective look at the evidence would never lead one to accept the conclusion that Jefferson fathered children with one of his slaves. That is why no actual historian took the assertion seriously until very recently (when the leftist mob began demanding it be stated as historical fact).

Thus, we must ask why they smear Thomas Jefferson? If the charges against him are so clearly fraudulent, there must be a reason why they despise him (and uphold other founders). When we look at who they promote and praise among the founders, we can see what the answer is. So, which founder do they consistently promote? Anyone living in American society today knows the answer: Alexander Hamilton, who happens to have been Jefferson’s enemy. Hamilton favored a powerful centralized government that he believed could and should control the economy, enrich the powerful elite, and dominate the states. If this sounds familiar, it is because that is exactly what the establishment and the left want today. Jefferson deeply opposed this, favoring decentralization, states’ rights, and economic freedom. In fact, in 1798, Jefferson wrote the Kentucky Resolution, promulgating the idea that states could nullify unconstitutional federal laws. The thought of this is horrifying to today’s establishment, as they would lose a lot of power if it were put into practice. Thus, the necessity to demonize the great disciple of liberty becomes clear. Discredit the man, discredit his ideas. Finally, one of the great characteristics of Thomas Jefferson was that, unlike many other advocates of liberty, he was radical and combative. He actually fought for his principles and wasn’t afraid to denounce those who promoted statism. For example, in speaking of Hamilton, he stated that “if history stoops to notice him” it will be as “a person who worked to destroy liberty.” The establishment hates those who tell the truth about powerful elites and expose them in the public square. Thus, the great intellectual must be silenced, and the only way to do this is to assassinate his character.

In conclusion, this is a usual case of mediocre men trying to disparage a great man after his death because it brings them more power. And power is what they crave.

The Best of Derek Dobalian
