Many sources have stated that the image of a dog displayed on Switzer's tombstone refers to Pete the pup from the Little Rascals series. This is not, in fact, correct; rather, the image references his work as a professional breeder.

I swear, she was one of the great character supporting actors in Hollywood. Loved her in "Caged" and "Mildred Pierce" and of course..."The Maltese Falcon." Even to have such a bit part in the great "Vertigo."

Lee Patrick has always been a favorite of mine. She holds her own in any scene!

I like her speaking voice and her very pretty expressive eyes. I love the rapport

between she and Bogie in The Maltese Falcon. ("Effie, Darling")
