bggalaxy
One of my favorite actors who started back in the 40's is Richard Widmark. He is known as one of the nicest people of the Hollywood set. Even though his persona of Tommy Udo in the "Kiss of Death" was what got him noticed. His hateful Ray in "No Way Out" was another classic roll. His treatment of Poitiers character ate him up so much inside he would go out of his way to apologies to Poitier after every scene. This had a profound effect on the young Poitier that they became life long friends. The day after Christmas he'll be 90 years old. Does anyone know the status of his health or if he is still active in the business in anyway.
slappy3500
Well he and Poitier must have gotten along well because they went on to work together in "The Long Ships" and "The Bedford Incident."
bansi4
Richard Widmark is doing OK these days although he just about quit acting. Married close to 55 years when his wife died in 1997 the rascal married again in 1999. The best of luck to him! Mongo
