Need help from someone who knows more than I

By installing Mozilla I now get the sign in/register logo on my TCM homepage, however, being Christmas time, I went onto the Northpole site yesterday for my grandaughter to play the games, and when she tried to trim the tree, my mouse won't drag the ornaments over. Instead I get that little circle with the line through it that means unavailable. She was so disappointed because none of her games work now, even on PBSKids which she always plays on.

Please give me some suggestions on what to do.

Thank you,

Anne

Oh, Mrsl! You made me feel my age. I haven't a clue as to what you're talking about. I'm afraid the technology train has passed us by. (and I don't think we're standing on the platform alone). Anyway, good luck and I hope you get an answer.

I truthfully didn't either. Hopefully someone will be able to help you, Anne.

Is there a phone number somewhere with a Help-Line? Try removing your mouse and replugging it in or go to "Start" - "Control Settings" - "Mouse" then "Hardware' and it will usually tell you if there is a problem with your "Mouse" .

Hopefully it helps....

it is possible that you don't have 'cookies' enabled for the TCM site.

Cookies are bits of information, stored by your browser, that enable you to navigate web sites.

If you go to the top of the web page and click on Tools, then go down to the item about Cookies, you'll get a side menu. It will tell you the Cookie status of the TCM site. If it says that you are not accepting cookies from the site, just click where it says 'accept session cookies' and then reload the page.

If it says that you are already accepting Cookies, then the problem lies elsewhere.

(If your browser is Mozilla Firefox, it is a lot harder to get at the Cookies control. I don't know why they set it up that way.)

Good luck!
