WallyRamone
It's interesting to me to think about the similarities and differences the birth of cinema and the birth of Internet comedy. In the same way early cinema focused on short, one reel films, Internet comedy began with a focus on shorter, gag-based videos (including things like 6-sec Vines and the often very funny 5-second films). Internet comedy seems to be somewhere in between cinematic comedy and TV comedy, and often acts like a hybrid of the two. I'm curious if it will ever develop a language of its own.
TikiWho
I feel like the Lumieres should be credited with inventing Vines.
