TCM Remembers

RB51NUT

Recommended Posts

I'm always amazed at some of the short subject's on TCM. They really have a way of putting just the right combination of clips and music together, making them an enjoyable part of TCM's format.

I just caught the latest "TCM Remembers" short and (as it happens every year) am overwhelmed at how many great ones we have lost in the last year.

Is there a place on this site to view this short?

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

RB51NUT -

Yep. You can watch the "TCM Remembers" piece online. Go to the homepage -

http://www.tcm.com/index/

and you will find a link to "TCM Remembers" near the bottom towards the right hand side of the page.

It can also be accessed on the "Multimedia" page of this website. Look above on the title bar and you will see links to all the major areas of TCM.com and click on the multimedia tab.

The TCM Remebers piece was perfect......I knew you would end on Glenn Ford....I was suprised so many people died in 2006, esp. Chris Penn and Bruno Kirby. I had no idea that they died. I especially enjoyed Bruno Kirby's work. Good job TCM, I definitly had tears in my eyes throughout the peice. The music was perfect also. I love you TCM!

TCM does such a beautiful job with these...my upstanding applause to those who work on them. And thanks for the site that has the older TCM Remembers guys!

I just wish the Oscars would do as good of a job on their memorial pieces. I always say that the best I've seen on any Oscar show was the 2001-2002 show when Anthony Quinn, George Harrison, Carol O'Connor and others were featured, because rather than just a quick pic they had actual clips and the 'dance' theme which was a celebration, rather than just a black armband salute.
