spence Posted October 23, 2016 Share Posted October 23, 2016 For those that remember all the controversy w/last yrs *Academy Awards & the fact that for the 2nd consecutive yr all of the 20 acting categories were non black performers Welp, this year will almost certainly be different 1stly 2 time *Oscar winner *Denzel Washington-(l954-) stars & directs "Fences"-(almost a lock to snag his 7th nom.) Viola Davis has huge early buzz for the same pic. Ruth Negga in "Loving" Mahershala Ali, "Moonlight" & the film seems poised to also be a BP contender Naomi Harris also "Moonlight" & despite weak reviews "Birth of a Nation's" Aja Naomi King Whether anyone takes home the "statue' or not, remains to be seen of course Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
