pktrekgirl
Humm...I don't see it. But then, I've not seen many photos of Peter Lorre...and I've not seen the Mr. Moto films yet. Do you have any photos of him?
movielover11
Under the Gallery of Stars thread there are several photos of Peter Lorre because someone thought he was handsome.

MissGoddess
I must have had an aneurism---how could I forget Tovarich. I haven't seen it in ages---it was great.
MissGoddess
Here they are, side by side: When you see them like this there may be a resemblance, but not as much when you see them in motion pictures.
zooty127
Ingrid Bergman & Cary Grant in NOTORIOUS/INDISCREET - together, they had a charming elegance that is timeless. Greer Garson & Ronald Colman in RANDOM HARVEST - together...just priceless. Myrna Loy & William Powell in THE THIN MAN - together, they took marriage & witty banter to a delightfully new level. Teresa Wright & Dana Andrews in THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES - together, the most relaxed/natural performances. And that ending! Greta Garbo & Robert Taylor in CAMILLE - strangely, together they work. Ginger Rogers & Fred Astaire in TOP HAT - together, they let their talented feet do the talkin'.
MissGoddess
Thanks for mentioning Ginger and Fred---their musicals are the pinacle of romance!

pktrekgirl
Okay. I know who he is from other stuff. Don't need to see Mr. Moto. He's played some way creepy characters, IIRC.
movielover7
Hi, I'm new to this thread. I think Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are a pretty romantic couple.
bobhopefan1940
Oh, my mother just adores Gregory Peck. I don't see it... I need to watch some more of his flicks. Any you'd recommend?
movielover7
Well if you haven't seen it yet definately watch To Kill A Mockingbird These are some of my other favorites w/Peck: - Arabesque - Cape Fear - The Big Country - Spellbound Movies w/ Peck that others recommend but I haven't seen: - Twelve O'Clock High - The Gentleman's Agreement - The Snows of Kilimanjaro The genres vary. But he does an exceptional job in all of them. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. MovieLover7

metsfan
Here's a beautiful tribute of Gregory Peck that someone made on youtube. Hope you'll be able to see it.
bobhopefan1940
I love those... they have some great tributes to Cary Grant on there as well. I'm afraid with my dial-up, viewing it will be impossible. I'll put it in my favorites and view it when I go to my brother's house. *lol*

MissGoddess
ROMAN HOLIDAY is a great favorite of mine. I couldn't agree more that together, Audrey and Greg made romance bloom in the Eternal City. And the ending never fails to bring me to tears. MissGoddess
Thank you, metsfan---that was a beautiful tribute to one of the handsomest men I've ever seen.
MissGoddess
Hi BHF---after you've seen To Kill a Mockingbird, I highly recommend you watch Roman Holiday, a wonderful romance. And for romance on the high seas, I suggest, if you can find it, Captain Horatio Hornblower---very exciting and he looks just scrumptious in his naval uniform. Designing Woman is also a fun comedy with Lauren Bacall which TCM airs from time to time.
