The Triumph of Donald Trump

Recommended Posts

Marsha Blackburn, FL Republican Rep who has received 700K from the telecom industry, was pushing for this (source:  Daily Beast).  Now somebody wants to raise money to buy and share her info.  Payback's a *****.

LOL!

Speaking of money and this internet privacy "rollback".

Just how MUCH money can ISP's make in selling the information of people's internet "activity" , and just WHO is interested in how much PORN people download?  :D

Sepiatone

Doubt it is the porn people as much as it is the companies that create all the spam ads and telemarketers.

Not what we download, but just what we looked for on the internet.  Types of clothing, gardening supplies, automobiles, furniture, food, ad infinitum.

Also many companies would like to know what products each person has "browsed" so they can zero in on them with internet ads, phone calls and probably even old fashioned mailed advertising.

Mark my words ... Trump is salivating over the prospect of a homeland terrorist incident to rescue his numbers.  He could care less about the victims.  Actually, the more the better.

Ain't that the pathetic truth!

This man's top priority is himself, and his polling numbers are a reflection of that. He craves popularity.

Ah yes, but now he is in charge and his people are in control of everything.  Just because it has only been a couple of months won't matter, it would happen on his watch and after he put his people in charge.

However, the American people have a unexplainable ability to support elected officials and others in times of crisis when they really do not deserve it and may even be the cause of the crisis.

Been debunked already.  She was guessing or something.

His people are NOT in control of everything.   I know you know this so I'm surprised your spreading something so bogus.   E.g. courts have blocked executives orders done by Presidents.   The courts are not full of a President's 'people'.

Again,  this is NOT a defense of Trump,  but just the reality of the US political system and various processes.

Wing Nut Daily and Hannity. Who could go wrong with those

two sources? The Snopes article has a bit more in it than

they tried to contact Farkas with no response. Right wingers

are doing everything they can come up with to divert attention

from the investigations into possible connections between

Donny's people and the Ruskies.

"Intelligence chiefs who have seen the classified information in question, including Obama’s own former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper as well as former acting CIA Director Michael Morell, have said they have seen no evidence of collusion between the Trump team and the Russian government.

That would appear to indicate the real reason the Obama administration was feverishly collecting and sharing the classified information was not for national security purposes, but for political reasons."

From looking at her in this photo, she appears to be missing a few marbles. "Evelyn Farkas" sound like a good name for a mental patient anyway.

Any relation to Scut Farkas of Christmas Story?

In the context I used it (read what I was responding to), Trump and his people are in charge.  If a terrorist attack occurs, he will be responsible.

Of course, he will try to say the bleeding heart liberal judges, etc.  caused it.  But he COMMANDS the military, Homeland Security, CIA, FBI, etc.  ALL of them.  He picked the people in charge.

I'm just saying he would get the blame if a terrorist attack occured at this point in time.  He said he would insure it didn't and he is Commander in Chief.

Well I disagree.  To me it is silly and lame to say the President is responsible when there is a terrorist attack.

Yea,   conservatives did this silly and lame stunt when Obama was President but that doesn't make it OK for non conservatives to do just because the shoe is on the other foot.

But I do agree Trump would get the blame (just like Obama did) because people believes in this silly  'under your watch' BS.

The Triumph of Donald Trump is that he has fooled a lot of indigent people into voting for him, so that he can make his super rich staff and friends even richer:

86 percent of Trump counties make less in a year than 27 Trump staffers are worth

The failure of Hillary Clinton was that she couldn't get convince enough voters that she was a better alterative to Trump.

Deal with it.   :P

Haven't you heard?

The Russians hypnotized people into seeing the truth about the Clintons.

I would suggest that Hillary Clinton DID have enough voters convinced that she was a better alternative to Trump . . .

until James Comey opened his big FBI mouth with 11 days to go, and then the borderline support for her started to vanish. There was just not enough time for her to come back after a hit like that.

Who knows how different the end result might have been if he had also informed the American public that same day that he spoke of new Hillary emails found that the Trump camp was under FBI investigation for possible collusion with the Russians.

Canada has a similar incident during its 2004 federal election when the head of the RCMP announced that a Liberal cabinet minister was going to have charges laid against him (I forget the charges). In any event, the opposition party Conservatives, who were behind in the polls, started screaming about corruption, they rose in the polls from that moment forward and got into power with Stephen Harper as PM.

After the election the RCMP dropped the charges against the now former Liberal cabinet minister. I have never heard an explanation provided as to why the head of the RCMP laid charges DURING the election. You can bet that Harper didn't question it, though (just as Trump doesn't talk about Comey's intrusion in your election, while the Democrats still understandably seethe about it).

And yet the polls gave her a 90% chance of winning the very morning of the election.

Hmm.

She was so sure she was gonna be President, I remember seeing backstage footage of her, Bill and Chelsea bubbling over with giddiness as the counting started coming in. Bill was actually jumping up and down like a little schoolgirl.

20/20 excuse-making is so much fun - isn't it, Tom?

I think Comey turned off potential fringe Clinton supporters and the DNC leaks turned away Bernie supporters and that was enough to hand Trump the narrow victory in 3 states.  They just did not turn out to vote for Clinton.

But I don't think that Trump would have lost any votes at all if Comey had said he was being investigated.  His supporters did not dump him because of the shady business deals, serial groping, pathological lies, etc. etc.  In fact he may have attracted even more brain dead voters if it was known the FBI was 'out to get him'.
