trump doesn't understand why the Navy captain put his own career at risk to save the lives of his crew.

Sociopaths have no comprehension on any level of empathy.

President Trump on Saturday defended his decision to fire the intelligence community inspector general who flagged the Ukraine whistleblower complaint that led to his impeachment,
==========================================================

.

took a break from his colossal, historical incompetence late last night

to remind us that he’s a criminal determined to cover up his crimes.

Trump has forced a situation where states are literally bankrupting one another to procure supplies,

because his Administration is either too lazy or too inept to manage the crisis.

Per

@waltshaub , this was the wharf in DC yesterday.

Hundreds of folks spreading coronavirus. And why? Because we don't have a president. If POTUS were on TV daily saying "Get inside! Stay inside!" over and over, there'd be *no one* in the photo below.

Sadly the irony of the quote likely goes over the head of Trumpers,  especially those at this forum.

It seems the only people that has gotten past the Vietnam War is the Vietnamese.

Not the people in the former South Vietnam or those that had to abandon their country.

The US is trying to establish a relationship with Vietnam, just as it did with the Soviet Union, China and other dictatorships.  Does not mean that the current government of Vietnam is admired by the US - or even liked.

Many Vietnam vets have return to Vietnam as part of the healing process.  If you are one of them, maybe should consider it.

Far more have not.  I have no problem with US establishing diplomatic relations (as they should with Cuba), but of the top 5,000 places I might want to visit, Vietnam ain't one of them. Yes, I did serve there.    I know lots of Vietnam veterans and none of them have returned to Vietnam or have any desire to do so.  Returning to Vietnam as a visitor has nothing to do with a healing process.

My comment was in regards to fact that the current government continues to abuse those who disagree with it and to punish those Vietnamese who fought against them.  Sizable populations of South Vietnamese military veterans and other refugees who have little to no desire to support current government.

Hold Donald Trump’s massive failure accountable:  IMPEACH AND REMOVE HIM NOW!  Or use the 25th Amendment to REMOVE THIS INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT, who cannot or will not do his duty to protect American lives!

This is the president explicitly telling Americans, en masse, to take a drug that may have serious effects for them, that hasn't been proven safe and effective for this use, and that is needed by others with serious illnesses for which it is proven.

By a doctor if the trial test proves effective by which is receiving great results.
These are prescription drugs NOT over the counter.  It's dangerous to obtain them on the internet or black market by which no one knows who made them or what's really in it.  This twisting of words / taking out of context are going to have people dying because fear will be associated with this nonsense once the FDA approves for normal dispensing by the doctor / pharmacist.

trump supporters take their cue from trump--

They know more than the experts because trump always says he knows more than the experts.

Doesn't matter if it's scientists over climate change, or journalists over how we have to preserve the First Amendment by having a transparent government.

Now trump and his minions know more about epidemiology than

Dr.  Anthony Stephan Fauci-- an American, who happens to be an international expert on viruses.

trump supports lies against the experts not just because he's ignorant, but also because he may be getting political and financial gain by doing so.

 America deserves better.

The country needs real leadership and instead we have a malignant conman exploiting the deadly crisis to sell an unproven drug. Just pause for a moment to think how nuts this is.

We need masks, gowns, tests, ICU beds -- basic **** -- and Trump isn't all that interested in using his powers as president to provide it.

But he does have a magic cure-- he knows it in his gut, cuz he's a natural at this medical stuff!! Everyone says so!

Have you paid attention to the approved drugs being advertised on TV, stating serious side effects, some even mentioned death?

Most drugs DO have side effects, want to do away with them?

I'm taking my cue from the experimental trails which is showing promising results.

Remember him?

Another doctor, Richard Galy, practicing doctor and Mayor of Mougins, where 29 residents of a retirement home have died has deplored French health guidelines that prevent him from treating his patients "in good conscience", including with chloroquine.

960x0.jpg?fit=scale

Some French doctors want a change in law to allow these drugs to be prescribed

There is a movement by some French doctors to convince the government to change the law allowing them to prescribe the drugs if the efficacy is proved soon—a change.org petition on the topic has so far gathered more than 200,000 signatures. At present, according to a legal decree on March 23, the drug can only be prescribed for COVID-19 patients in France, who are suffering from oxygen-demanding pneumonia or organ failure. Many doctors want to be ready for a change in circumstances, if the drug is proved, so they can prescribe it earlier to alleviate pressure on hospital beds.

This is in response to hamradio above.

You can take whatever you want, if you want.  It is a free country.

However, for the President to keep touting a drug that has not been fully -tested, due to “happy-talk” or financial interest, shutting up and contradicting his science-experts, is the height of irresponsibility.  He is not warning about possibly dangerous side-effects, but his brain dead base will only hear that he is pushing it.  Totally, even criminally, irresponsible.
