The medical journal The Lancet publishes editorial condemning the Trump admin.'s coronavirus efforts:

"Americans must put a president in the White House come January, 2021, who will understand that public health should not be guided by partisan politics.”

Fox News's Cavuto warns of deadly hydroxychloroquine dangers after Trump says he's taking it

......

Fox News's Neil Cavuto warned that people must be careful with hydroxychloroquine, saying immediately after President Trump said that he had been taking the drug for more than a week that it could kill people who have certain underlying health conditions.

Cavuto offered the warning immediately after coverage of the president's surprise remarks ended, stating of Trump's comments, "That was stunning."
Trump said he had decided to take the drug to ward off the coronavirus based on positive reviews he's heard from front-line health care workers who have had good results treating patients with it.

But Cavuto warned that a number of studies suggest it could be dangerous for people to take hydroxychloroquine.

"The fact of the matter is though, when the president said 'what have you got to lose?',

in a number of studies, those certain vulnerable population has one thing to lose: their lives," Cavuto said.

"If you are in a risky population here, and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus, or in a worse-case scenario you are dealing with the virus and you are in this vulnerable population, it will kill you," the “Your World with Neil Cavuto” host said.

"I cannot stress enough. This will kill you........."

A perfect pattern of retaliation.

The Triumph of Donald Trump is that he says he's been taking hydroxychloroquine and no one on CNN or MSNBC says they don't believe him. They go instead into a discussion of the drug's dangers and lack of effectiveness. The man knows how to manipulate the progressive media that he so claims to hate. They made him what he is today.

Trump's claim to be taking the drug is his riposte to Governor Cuomo having the Covid-19 test at his press conference.

But the hundreds of women harassed and/or grabbed by the p****y by Donald Trump would beg to differ.

Although she may be much more attractive than Sarah Sanders, she is also much more of a bald-.faced liar!

I wondered if he wasn't having everyone on too.  The WH doctor confirmed that he is taking it for what that is worth.

Instead of being aghast I wish they would encourage him to keep taking it and ask him if he is now mainlining lysol and bleach too.

Trump Says He Heroically Avoided Capture in Vietnam by Staying in U.S.

AMES, IOWA (The Borowitz Report)—Presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed a little-known episode of personal heroism from his youth on Saturday, telling an Iowa audience that he narrowly avoided capture in Vietnam by remaining in the United States for the duration of the war.

“The Cong were after me,” Trump said, visibly stirred by the memory. “And then, just in the nick of time, I got my deferment.”

The former reality-show star said he had never shared his record as a war hero before because “I don’t like to boast.”

He said that he only disclosed the episode now because “the way this nation treats our deferment veterans is a disgrace.”

Trump complained that he received no official commendation or medal for his heroism, calling the lack of recognition “shameful.”

“Those brave Americans who, like me, avoided being captured by not serving at all—we are the true heroes,” he said.

Trump’s tale of valor appeared to move many members of his audience, some of whom waited in line after his speech to thank him for his lack of service.

Let's be clear: we don't know whether Trump is actually taking hydrochloroquine. We only know that he *says* he's taking it. But why would he say — and possibly, maybe, do — that? It's a treatment for his severe case of infallibitis — inability to admit mistakes

By now even Fox News hosts realize that Trump's initial endorsement of hydrochloroquine — where did that come from, anyway? — was an error that could have lethal consequences. A decent leader wld admit that; even a cynical leader would slink away and pretend it never happened

But Trump can't help himself: he's so insecure that he has to be right, always, and just doubles down on his disasters. This is true of everything from health advice to Korean nuclear deals. And it's going to get a lot of people killed

TRUMP TAKING HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE: ISSUES :

He doesn't have COVID-19 He shouldn't be prescribed it

He must set a example: the drug—for COVID-19—is dangerous

He's worsening a shortage of the drug

It's an ad for a drug his donors support

He won't prove he's taking it

A POTUS taking a contraindicated drug with major side effects is a national security issue

He hid his taking of the drug for two weeks despite its implications

He's lying about what his administration did regarding the drug

<_<

The new letter from the White House physician
does not actually say that he prescribed hydroxychloroquine to Trump
and it does not say that Trump is actually taking hydroxychloroquine.

'Obamagate' backfires:

Documents show Biden, Obama acted properly-

"...........The recently-disclosed files show the Obama administration’s diligence and focus in the wake of Russia’s sweeping assault on American democracy. Moreover, contrary to unhinged right-wing conspiracy-mongering, the materials demonstrate Obama’s dedication to upholding the FBI’s independence from improper political influence.

In short, Trump’s election-year ploy to distract the American public with selective leaks of sensitive information backfired. Spectacularly so.

Well-documented exceptions aside, the files also show that the Comey-led FBI deftly steered a sensitive counterintelligence investigation amid nightmarish political circumstances............

Both Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon said it was possible that Trump was lying and has never taken it.

They didn't go any further as there is no objective proof one way or the other.

White House Obama portrait ceremony may be the latest casualty of the political divide

The traditional White House portrait unveiling may be skipped for the first time in decades amid bad blood between Trump and Obama.

.....

"We may have our differences politically," President Barack Obama said when he hosted former President George W. Bush for his portrait unveiling in 2012, "but the presidency transcends those differences."

Yet this modern ritual won't be taking place between Obama and President Donald Trump, according to people familiar with the matter. And if Trump wins a second term in November, it could be 2025 before Obama returns to the White House to see his portrait displayed among every U.S. president from George Washington to Bush. .........

Obama, for his part, has no interest in participating in the post-presidency rite of passage so long as Trump is in office, the people familiar with the matter said.........

Trump should have been removed from office, and we saw another reason why today. Threatening Michigan and Nevada for helping voters, as @ryanbort notes, is just the kind of thing that law professor Pamela Karlan warned about in her impeachment testimony.

5:21 PM · May 20, 2020 from Los Angeles, CA·Twitter for iPhone

trump is treating the citizens of Michigan the way he treated the Ukrainians and the Puerto Ricans.

Ukrainians were told to do him a favor.

Or they would get nothing from the American government.

The Puerto Ricans were told not to criticize him or they would get nothing from the American government.

Now, the state of Michigan has been told not to allow mail-in voting, or they would get nothing from the American government.

The only thing we can conclude from all of this is that trump thinks that he is the American government and that the people of Puerto Rico and Michigan are on the same level as a foreign government like Ukraine.

The best title for the Narcissistic Sociopath trump is the president of the United States of trump.

With a little bit of luck, maybe the state of Michigan can get some financial and material help from a foreign government like Ukraine. Because Michigan's Own federal government seems to be ignoring their disastrous plight at the moment.

"It’s Not MY Fault — The Governors Did It"

Confusion Reigns Over Reopening Plan-

(Pandemic Timeline)

"Trump is counting on an economic recovery to salvage his re-election prospects. So when the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control drafted detailed guidelines for reopening businesses in ways that prioritized public health, he rejected them. Instead, Trump issued broad suggestions for loosening state restrictions safely.

Trump then incited mobs to protest against stay-at-home orders, pushed governors to reopen for business immediately, and encouraged leaders to ignore even the vague suggestions he had issued.

That is how Trump has set up governors to take the blame for his cascading failures — both in addressing the spread of COVID-19 and in managing the economic fallout from the uncontrolled pandemic.......

“We have to get your governor of Pennsylvania to start opening up a little bit. You have areas of Pennsylvania that are barely affected, and they want to keep them closed. Can’t do that.”

Disaster Lurks

Another wave of COVID-19 infections is on the horizon and Trump is hastening its arrival. He views human lives as “embers” in what may develop into “fairly big fires.” With his inflammatory rhetoric, Trump is stoking those fires.

Lose a loved one in the inferno? Blame the governors — they’re the ones who decided to reopen."
