The Triumph of Donald Trump

Trump accuses someone of something you can bet he's guilty of it himself.

Hey NipkoDisc, get a load of this ....

• Donald Trump paid a proxy as a high schooler to take the SAT on his behalf, and that high score helped the future president get into the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious Wharton business school — which has boasted was “super genius stuff.”

liberals sure can't criticize him for any lack of self-esteem.

There is a big difference between lying, cheating and selling snake oil and self esteem.

It appears if you read the niece's book Donald is a classic case of someone constantly  looking for praise and that there never is enough.  Talk about an insecure narcissist.  he's feeding on the entire country right now and it still is not enough.  Take, take, take.

Isn't it Nip who was always the one wanting to see President Obama's college transcripts?

And President Obama taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School-- so I guess he had some pretty good transcripts.

Yeah, I didn't know whether or not you'd get a chance to see what I wrote.

Can you imagine that, President Obama actually taught constitutional law for over a decade at the University of Chicago Law School.

That's why he was the kind of president who actually knew what his duties were and what was constitutional and what was not.:D

For One Republican, Leaving The GOP Is 'The Right Thing'

"Black Republican strategist Shermichael Singleton announced on Twitter this weekend that he’s leaving the party.

On July 4, Singleton tweeted that he's been associated with the GOP since middle school when he started a chapter of the Teenage Republican Society. He contemplated the decision to split with the party for two and a half years before deciding he doesn’t support President Trump.

Trump has supported policies that even the most traditional Republicans would such as tax reform, deregulation and strengthening the military, he says.

But Singleton started questioning if Trump’s policies justify his behavior and character as an individual — and concluded that they don’t. ...........

The U.S. has given official notice of its withdrawal from the WHO.

lobal health experts, doctors and lawmakers lambasted the move:
one said it was "a political gift to China,"
another said it may jeopardize U.S. access to lifesaving COVID-19 vaccines.

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman retires,

citing campaign of ‘bullying’ and ‘retaliation’ by Trump after impeachment testimony

"..........Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who served as a national security aide at the White House until earlier this year and was up for promotion to colonel, will leave the military instead, his attorney, David Pressman, said in a statement.

“Through a campaign of bullying, intimidation, and retaliation, the president of the United States attempted to force LTC Vindman to choose: Between adhering to the law or pleasing a President. Between honoring his oath or protecting his career. Between protecting his promotion or the promotion of his fellow soldiers,” Pressman said. “LTC Vindman’s patriotism has cost him his career.”.......

Either Donald Trump learned 12 days ago that Russia reportedly has offered bounties for the deaths of American Soldiers

or he was briefed on it months ago.

Whenever he found out, he’s done nothing to protect our troops since then.

Behind the scenes, Trump directed the CIA to share intelligence information on counterterrorism with the Kremlin

despite no discernible reward,

former intelligence officials who served in the Trump administration told Just Security.
===============================

Trump Pushed CIA to Give Intelligence to Kremlin, While Taking No Action Against Russia Arming Taliban

"..........“When Western powers fail to push back, the Kremlin keeps prodding and probing — until it meets resistance, or until the costs for President Putin and his regime exceed the perceived benefits,” Carpenter wrote in Just Security on Friday.

What we now know is that President Trump not only failed to push back against Russia’s arming the terrorist group.

That extraordinary act of omission

was coupled with the president’s effort to push the CIA to cooperate with Russia by providing U.S. intelligence to the Kremlin on counterterrorism operations despite getting nothing in return,.......

Trump Is Campaigning on a Platform of Abject Failure

The president’s argument for his reelection is not the kind of argument you make if you’ve done a good job.

"............

So Trump is swimming upriver with this case.

But he may not have much choice. He hardly has an obvious alternative argument for his own reelection. He could have his campaign generate a policy program for a second term, but that would be very off-brand.

Trump has never talked policy much, beyond promises to build walls and make better trade deals. And a sudden lunge in that direction would be utterly unconvincing.

Trump is left with grievance and magic because he’s running for reelection while presiding over the smoldering ruins of an economy and a six-figure death toll from the virus he has let grind the nation to a halt."

This should be a Biden ad....Lt. Col Vindman "This is America..and here right matters"

If we are to retain any respect for the military, every one of the officers who retaliated against him at trump's bequest should lose their shiny stars and stripes and be tossed from the pentagon

Has Lt. Col. Vindman said why he is retiring?  I can sympathize with him, but this seems almost foolish to me as his promotion would seem to be assured regardless of what Trump tries to do.  It will cost him (and his survivor) a lot of money.  The retired pay for a full colonel is significantly higher than that of a lt. col.  Also his employment, consultant and other opportunities would be better as a retired colonel.

I heard that they offered him a post in Alaska and he then chose retirement instead.

Could it be that Vindman cares more about his country than his personal wealth?    (unlike say, John Bolton).

I.e. the WHY for Vindman is to expose Trump prior to the election.    (not that there hasn't been multiple incidences of retaliation by Trump and his cronies).

- DOJ supports Roger Stone going to prison
- Trump is not above the law, per SCOTUS
- Congress and NY can still fight for his taxes

No one is above the law, not even the President of the United States. Nor are they immune from congressional oversight or criminal investigation, no matter how much they endeavor to delay or evade them. My statement on the Supreme Court decision this morning:

I don't buy that at all.  He has exposed Trump as  much as he can.  If he retires, he can go out on the talk circuit and more openly attack Trump.  However, I don't see where he can contribute any more negatives to Trump than are already out there.

If he stays in, he would be a senior officer in the Army.

the left talks about love and tolerance but is completely full of sheet because they doan know how to practice it themselves. after Lee's surrender Lincoln wanted to heal the divide and move the country forward exerting that there should be "malice torwards none and goodwill torwards all". he intuitively knew the thing not to do was demonize the southern states to avoid a longlasting internal damage to our country

Lincoln knew this in 1865 and now because of their hatred and sore loserism torwards one man they know urge us all to forget what Lincoln proposed...

Trump is right! this insurrection hiding behind the george floyd peaceful protests is a smokescreen.

they must prevent a trump 2nd victory no matter what the cost!
