The Triumph of Donald Trump

Recommended Posts

  • An associate of Rudy Giuliani's told a former CIA operative seeking a pardon that it would cost $2 million, The New York Times reported.
  • Giuliani disputed the ex-CIA officer's account, telling the Times he doesn't remember the meeting and that helping someone obtain a pardon would be a conflict of interest.
  • The Times reported that several people with connections to Trump have accepted large sums of money from people seeking pardons.

okay, so now I'm gonna tell ya what is gonna happen, the msm will adore and worship the sleepy guy for a year maybe two, then the economy deteriorates and in the short term the democrats will hide behind the pandemic to buffer themselves...

meanwhile kamala harris, the congressional black caucus and numerous black civil rights dinosaurs and holdovers will ONCE AGAIN begin saying that what is needed for Black America is better public education...

the exact same worthless and useless HS the democrat party has been peddling since the vietnam war era.

but what will help to make it all palatable to the democrats and black civil rights leaders is the thought of the supreme irony of white liberal democrats HELPING to bring White America to it's knees!

it is both sick and diseased.

"it never changes...

and it is so useless!"

This sounds like Old White Man's Grievance HS to me.  Not surprising.  Once in a while your true colours come out for all to see.

America has suffered bad presidents -- James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Warren G. Harding, and Richard Nixon, for example.

But never have we endured a president as bad as Donald Trump, who will be remembered

as the most divisive, unprincipled, selfish, deceptive, and cruel.

Seth takes a closer look at the damage President Trump will leave behind as we learn more about the insurrection he incited, his premeditated plan to steal the election and the Republican Party’s complicity.

Not sure how you define "bad," but as far as competence, Nixon was not a "bad" president.  Actually accomplished a lot, but he was somewhat paranoid, especially over the Vietnam War and the protests.  Then there was the cover-up which finally ruined him.  He also thought of himself as above the law.  So he was "bad" in that context, but still accomplished a lot.  BTW I never voted for him and smiled when he resigned.

Buchanan was in a bad place at a bad time with few good choices and didn't do what he should have, A. Johnson actually tried to continue Lincoln's philosophy toward the South, but the Radical Republicans wanted revenge and control of the South.  Other than that Johnson was not too good.  Not sure about Harding, but again not bad as much as incompetent maybe.

But in Trump's case, he was a "bad" president in all meanings of that word.  As we learn more about what happened in the last four years, it will get even worse.  As you noted, Trump is "most divisive, unprincipled, selfish, deceptive and cruel" of any president the US has ever had.  In addition, he actually failed to accomplish much that was good for the country.  All of his foreign policy initiatives failed.  Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and others are actually stronger now than before.

China won the trade wars at a cost of $billions to US consumers.  They did not lower the prices of any of their exports despite large tariffs placed on them by Trump.  More $billions to bail out farmers.

Trump's '1776 Report' released on MLK Day receives heavy backlash

......“Donald Trump has always attempted to use a fictional version of the past to justify racist policies,” ReNika Moore, director of the ACLU’s Racial Justice Program, said in a statement.

“As such, it is only fitting that in the final days of his term as president, and on the day we celebrated the life of Martin Luther King Jr., his administration released a report that pushes a white supremacist version of our nation’s history, justifies slavery as ‘more the rule than the exception throughout human history,’ and compares members of the opposing political party to fascist dictators,” Moore added.

Boston University historian Ibram X. Kendi also pushed back on the report, saying in a series of tweets, “This report makes it seems as if … those espousing identity politics today resemble proslavery theorists like John C. Calhoun; that since the civil rights movement, Black people have been given 'privileges' and 'preferential treatment' in nearly every sector of society, which is news to Black people.”..........

The report argues that Americans must “stand up to the petty tyrants in every sphere who demand that we speak only of America’s sins while denying her greatness” while not “ignoring the faults in our past.”

“[A]ll Americans must reject false and fashionable ideologies that obscure facts, ignore historical context, and tell America’s story solely as one of oppression and victimhood rather than one of imperfection but also unprecedented achievement toward freedom, happiness, and fairness for all,” it goes on to state.

The commission was led by a group of conservatives and Trump allies who aren’t credentialed historians, including Larry Arnn, conservative television analyst Carol Swain, Charlie Kirk, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant (R) and Brooke Rollins, the president’s domestic policy adviser...........
