slappy3500
We all like to think about glamorous Hollywood couples like Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford, or Clark Gable & Carole Lombard, but what about pairings that were slightly less attractive? Ernest Borgnine and Ethel Merman for instance....Talk about matings that "frighten the cattle"! Or Charles Laughton & Elsa Lanchester. Any more gruesome twosomes? Oh c'mon! Don't get sanctimonious on me!

venerados
I must point out that Elsa Lanchester was gorgeous before she started gaining weight in her 40s.
nedlato
What about Raymond Burr and William Hopper!
bansi4
For your information William Hopper was a handsome guy. Get a gander at him in "The High and the Mighty". The son of Hollywood columnist Hedda Hopper he once had the ladies hot to trot. Mongo

nedlato
William Katt-son of Barbara Hale(Della Street),said otherwise in an interview I read.
flickerknickers
Ben and Jen, alias, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. They make me gag. Even worse is Demi ("I like'em young") Moore, alias Gimme Moore, and Ashton whatsishisname. These two alliances reek to high heaven of pure publicity. If there's a camera around, these two couples instantly lock lips.
bansi4
William Katt (a poor carbon copy of his dad actor Bill Williams) apparently doesn't have the respect his lovely mom has for other people. Especially since their dead. Mongo
nedlato
Rock Hudson was also a "handsome guy" and also "had the ladies hot to trot"!
bggalaxy
So what did Katt say? Hopper was not attractive? Just wondering.
bansi4
Since nedlato made a comparison to Rock Hudson I believe Katt made a reference to the fact that Hopper and Burr were lovers. Contrary to the facts Hopper was married to actress Jane Gilbert while Burr left his entire estate worth 32 million to his companion Rob Benevides. In my opinion the two gents just didn't fit the category of so called "gruesome twosomes". Mongo
bggalaxy
Thanks, I did not know that about Burr.
nedlato
I guess I was just trying to be "amusing". I apologise profusely for insulting Mr. Hopper and anyone else. By the way, I have always been a fan of the old PERRY MASON television series.
