Mike Pence Won’t Say If He Knew Ukraine Aid Was Tied To Biden Probe

The vice president dodged the question four times in a row. Not a good look, man!

If you’re Trump — and you’re kind of given to conspiracy theories — wouldn’t you at least wonder whether Mulvaney was trying to help move his old Hill buddy Pence a step closer to the presidency? Mulvaney can’t be deposed under WH rules, but he pointed a finger at POTUS publicly.

It would be an immaculate political coup. Perhaps Mulvaney would be forced to testify at some point — SCOTUS decides privilege doesn’t extend to this question — and simply tell what he knows (which he has now strongly hinted at).

The number of potentially impeachable acts Mulvaney addressed is jaw-dropping. He even went into impoundment, which, last I checked, violates the Budget and Impoundment Act of 1974 that he cited if it was done for policy rather than administrative reasons — to pressure Ukraine.

Mike Pence had a hilarious interview on Face the Nation this morning which is on youtube.  He would not answer the question as to whether he had knowledge of the quid pro quo demands of the Ukranian president in return for a meeting and military aid.  Each time he dodges the question he chuckles nervously and talks about his points.

He should go down too.

Mike Pence repeatedly refused to directly answer questions from Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday about Trump’s failure to alert the “Gang of Eight” ― a bipartisan group of congressional leaders ― about the #Baghdadi raid beforehand.

What kind of nonsense is this? Congress is an equal branch of government to the executive branch.

Pence denied claims that he secretly supports removing Trump from office as a way to become president himself.

This comes after an upcoming book says he and other Cabinet members were on board with calling Trump mentally unfit under the 25th amendment

“When those rumors came out a few years ago, I dismissed them then,” Pence said.

“If there is someone who is in our administration or who has served in our administration [who] doesn’t support this president, doesn’t support his agenda, he should resign”

Anonymous says in book that Trump is way further off his rocker than has been reported. This is no surprise. We have a predicate felon and sociopath in the White House, and a base of supporters that simply don't care. They have no idea how much danger we are all in.

Steve Schmidt: 'Overwhelming chance that Trump will dump Pence' for Haley for 2020.....

Haley would serve Trump's "immediate political interests" in a way that Pence would not heading in to the 2020 election.

“He’s entirely transactional. Loyalty is a one-way street. And so she’s clearly angling for the job, and when you look at the politics of it, she would serve his immediate political interests in a way that Pence can’t. So I would suggest that he’s going to be gone and she’ll be in," he said....

Democrats have some decisions to make. There's reason to think Pence knew more about this criminal and impeachable quid pro quo—solicitation of a bribe—than previously realized. Do they hurry on toward an impeachment vote, or conduct a full probe to determine Pence's culpability?

NEWS: Pence's office has rejected Schiff's request to declassify Jennifer Williams' supplemental testimony, declaring that the request is invalid because the impeachment inquiry has ended.

The additional testimony, Schiff said, centers on Pence’s Sept. 18 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Earlier Wednesday, Schiff formally transmitted the classified testimony to the House Judiciary Committee, which began debating articles of impeachment late Wednesday night.

Morgan also appeared to rebuke Williams, writing that “the contents of a classified call with a foreign head of state should never have been discussed in an unclassified committee hearing or an unclassified deposition.”

The letter is the second rebuke by the vice president’s office to House Democrats’ requests for assistance with the ongoing impeachment inquiry.

Dump Donald Trump, Get Mike Pence.

Mike Pence is a bland, boring, completely typical, ordinary conservative Republican from Indiana. And if the Senate does its duty, they’ll make him the next president of the United States.

You say that now, but you really do not want that.  Pence would be much more effective at getting the far right, extremist GOP agenda enacted into law.

You're correct as it relates to the domestic far right agenda,   but a Pence admin would be much better with foreign policy.

As much as I dislike conservative stances  on domestic social policy,    I would rather have a Pence admin then a Trump one just to get a sane person leading our foreign policy initiatives.

As you know most of the far-right changes implemented by Trump have been with the courts and appointments of very conservative judges and bureaucrats.    Pence would do the same so there is no difference there anyhow.    A Pence admin wouldn't be able to enact into law any far right policy since the Dems control the House.

So yea,   I would take Pence over Trump.       As for the upcoming Election:   Hard to tell who is the stronger GOP candidate,  Trump or Pence.    My gut says Pence by a small margin,  in that Trump supporters would vote for Pence as payback to Dems for removing Trump.

Here's @ForTheRuleOfLaw reminding all the business lobbyists, GOP donors, and Federalist Society lawyers at the Trump Hotel in D.C. that they can get the pro-business policies, ambassadorial appointments, and judges...with President Pence. And Trump still gets to keep his hotels.

Except I don't know if he will draw that get-out-of-jail-free card. LOL
