mr6666
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Trade between China and North Korea grew almost 40% in the first quarter. So much for China working with us - but we had to give it a try! 6:21 AM - 5 Jul 2017 "Setting aside that he appears to be throwing in the towel on trade with China — America’s second largest trading partner — the president has announced that he is considering unilateral action against the hermit kingdom. The recklessness of this move cannot be overstated. After publicly suggesting via tweet, a day and a half ago, that China “put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!” Trump is signaling that his patience has already run out, and that the largest country in the world will no longer have cooperation from the United States. What’s more, Trump’s public provocations of Kim Jong-un leave the egomaniacal dictator with few face-saving options but to continue escalating his military showmanship.... http://washingtonjournal.com/2017/07/05/trump-just-provoked-china-dangerous-morning-tweet-storm/

mr6666
Trump’s Poland Speech Draws Criticism for ‘Disturbing’ Undertones- "During a speech at the site of the Warsaw Uprising Monument in Poland on Thursday, President Donald Trump proclaimed in terms some characterized as “disturbing” that “the fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.” Speaking before an audience of close to 15,000 enthusiastic, flag-waving Poles—many of them bused in by Poland’s ruling right-wing Law and Justice Party—Trump returned to “the same life-or-death language as his inauguration speech, which promised a war against the ‘American carnage’ of urban crime,” noted Julie Hirschfeld Davis of the New York Times..... Others, however, detected a more ominous current running beneath Trump’s words, which were delivered in a nation governed by a fervently nationalistic party that has sparked fierce and widespread protests for what critics view as a sharp drift away from democracy. Honing in on Trump’s repeated emphasis on “the will” and his declaration that “our civilization will triumph,” many made connections between the speech and an infamous 1935 Nazi propaganda film titled “Triumph of the Will,” which was directed by Leni Riefenstahl and based on the 1934 Nuremberg Rally........ Bogie56
From the Washington Post ... Trump leaves leaders fearing the future as G-20 summit closes “Our world has never been so divided,” French President Emmanuel Macron said at the close of the talks. The divisions at the G-20 summit were most bitter on climate change, where 19 leaders formed a unified front against Trump. But even in areas of nominal compromise like trade, top European leaders said they have little faith that an agreement forged today could hold tomorrow. “Our world has never been so divided,” French President Emmanuel Macron said as the talks broke up. “Centripetal forces have never been so powerful. Our common goods have never been so threatened.” Macron said world leaders found common ground on terrorism but were otherwise split on numerous important topics. He also said there were rising concerns about “authoritarian regimes, and even within the Western world, there are real divisions and uncertainties that didn't exist just a few short years ago.” German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who hosted the summit in the port city of Hamburg, said there had been some areas of agreement. But she did little to hide her disappointment about U.S. actions on climate change. “Wherever there is no consensus that can be achieved, disagreement has to be made clear,” Merkel said at the end of the summit. “Unfortunately, and I deplore this, the United States of America left the climate agreement.” “I am gratified to note that the other 19 members of the G-20 feel the Paris agreement is irreversible,” Merkel said.

mr6666
"Nineteen of the 20 nations gathered in Hamburg, Germany for the G20 Summit have agreed to a joint statement on Saturday, which covers a range of issues, including international trade and the environment. The one hold out? The United States and Donald Trump. Why? Because the president believes the section on climate change is a little too pro-environment, and he wants to mention the use of fossil fuels.... His behavior may play well to his shrinking group of supporters back home, but the United States under Donald Trump’s leadership is becoming a laughingstock on the world stage.... http://www.politicususa.com/2017/07/08/trump-holding-g20-joint-statement-thinks-pro-environment.html
