Movie out of sync

Recommended Posts

I tried to watch "Give a Girl a Break" last night, but it was out of sync - the audio was about 3 seconds ahead of the video.  I've had this problem with some of the older movies before, especially those from the '30s.  When I've tried to go back and watch those, they were still out of sync.

I don't know what the problem is, so I don't know what the solution is.  Anybody?

Thanks.

Well, it could be a number of things, besides just being a problem on the channel's end.

How do you receive the TCM signal? Is it standard definition or the HD channel, or both? Do you have cable, dish, other? Does it run through a converter/cable box/DVR? How is it connected to the TV,  with a single HDMI cord, 3-component cable, 5-component cable, coaxial cable? Do you use an additional sound system or is the sound only coming from the built-in TV speaker?
