lydecker
I'll admit I am definitely not a fan of the silly, slapstick William Powell & Myrna Loy trio -- "Double Wedding," "I Love You Again" and "Love Crazy." While William Powell is talented enough to pull off anything (no matter how idiotic the plot,) when he descends into super-slapstick and appearing in drag, I just turn away. I guess any film this sublime pair did made money for MGM but in hindsight, the best pairings of William Powell & Myrna Loy were, without a doubt, the "Thin Man" films, "Manhattan Melodrama" and (I know many do not agree with me) "Evelyn Prentice." Sepiatone
I just caught a bit of LOVE CRAZY in the middle somewhere and thought Powell was out of character in this type of flick too. I was on my way to something else, so I didn't stick around. Sepiatone
