rayban
It's a very fanciful horror film about a young man (Asa Butterrfield) who discovers his way back to the extraordinary childhood of his recently-deceased grandfather (Terence Stamp). While he is on a vacation with his father in Scotland, he enters a "time loop", which takes him back to the early 40's. Visually, the film is wildly inventive - a feast for the eyes and ears. The children at Miss Peregrine's are such an interesting "bunch of tots". But, watch out, they are not your ordinary "bunch of tots". The scariest was the little boy whose mouth was full of bees.
LawrenceA
I remember a few years back when the book was a bestseller. I thought it sounded like a Tim Burton movie, and lo and behold, it happened. It also sounded very similar to the original run of the X-Men comic book from the 1960's: a group of "freakish" children are brought together at a fancy, secluded school/sanctuary and taught to control their abilities.
rayban
The kids were so strange - and so interesting. I loved the little girl who had the strength of a Hercules.
rayban
The film was a big hit at the box office. So, since the author wrote sequels to the original novel, there should be a sequel to the movie. I would welcome seeing more of "the kids" at Miss Peregrine's. And the return of the appealing and gifted Asa Butterfield.
ElCid
My wife purchased the DVD and we watched it recently. Entertaining, but not one I would watch again for quite a while.
jaragon
The movie was ok - the ending seem to go on forever.
