JR33928 Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 For people maybe 10-15 yrs older than myself this was a song to cry over,but i used to make howling sounds and laugh every time i heard it.Made the older ppl a tad bit angry.Today I think this is the most beautiful song Elvis ever sang. JR33928 Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 A sad "love lost" song...it is sad too.Song is about an auto accident that happened in a town in Ga.,down the road from the song writer's house.His name was Wayne Cochran who did record it,but the song didn't become a hit til J.Frank Wilson sang it in 1967.
