After diplomat Taylor’s testimony you can no longer question whether this happened.
The question is if you choose to follow the law or be part of the cover-up.

We look forward to a response.

By storming a SCIF - breaking the law and placing national security at risk by also bringing in cell phones -

and the Merry Morons have shown themselves unfit for Congress.

That the rest of the GOP is doing nothing shows they have lost all credibility to govern.

=================================

Nancy should have a resolution of censure for all involved!

Make a formal statement of disapproval, and have the ethic committee sanction them all!

This jerk (Gaetz)  should be expelled from Congress for this blatant violation of the rules,

not to mention illegal activity.

It’s not like you or anybody on your side bothered to read the Mueller Report.  You went for the Barr summary, which conclusions were all lies.

Plus the GOP committee members are a part of these hearings also. They and their legal assistants are asking questions also

As far as I know his actual testimony has not yet been released so there is nothing to believe or disbelieve.

On the other hand Taylor's Opening Statement was released to the general public for all to read.  This was submitted under oath and it follows Donald Trump's own words on that phone call and Mulvaney's admissions so it is completely credible.

Again, you just keep attacking the process because you don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to the substance of the accusations.

It is rather rich to be arguing for greater transparency when Trump is blocking everyone he can from testifying, refusing to hand over documents including his tax returns and will not testify in this or the Mueller case himself.

Schiff is right.  An adverse inference is well due.  He is guilty as hell.

Unfortunately, those that participated in Wednesday's 'demonstration' come from solidly Republican districts.  They have a seat for life if they so choose to keep running for the House of Representatives.

Yes, the Republican Party does benefit from gerrymandering.

The charge that the impeachment inquiry is being run in a non-transparent manner

would have more weight

if the people making that charge

also criticized the WH for not handing over documents, refusing to allow witnesses to testify,

and, basically, defying congressional oversight

Judge Napolitano pointed out on Fox that the Republicans are the ones who wrote the rules by which the Dems are conducting the investigations.  Also, Trey Gowdy, former chairman of House Oversight Committee and chief persecutor of Hillary Clinton stated that closed meetings yield better results than open ones.  Also, there is less acting out for the cameras and audiences at home.

Mitch McConnell just blocked #HR1 from a Senate vote.

He calls it a “power grab” because it would:
1) Empower small donors 2) Establish Automatic voter registration 3) Bolster anti-bribery laws

Yes. It's a "power grab" — grabbing power back for the people.

GOP: We demand public hearings! We demand transparency!

Pelosi: Okay. Let’s make it official, completely public and open. Let’s vote to do that.

GOP: No! You’re just trying to publicly humiliate the President politically!

Guide To Republicans’ Flailing Defenses Of The Trump-Ukraine Scandal-

Without a coherent response from the White House, Trump’s supporters have been wildly pinballing across a range of unconvincing arguments.

"....Trump’s defenders have followed a familiar pattern when it comes to explaining the president’s actions: denying that a misdeed ever took place, claiming that even if it did happen there was nothing wrong about it, and finally arguing that the wrongdoing is actually a perfectly good and fine thing for the president to have done.

Quid pro quo arrangements with foreign powers exist to further U.S. interests, not to target domestic political rivals.

In fact, most of the president’s defenders have entered the phase of reframing his misconduct as a virtue. Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney argued earlier this month that quid pro quo arrangements with foreign powers are a common and useful tool of U.S. foreign policy.

Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker told Fox News last week that “abuse of power is not a crime.”...

....Finally, some Republican lawmakers have simply resorted to name-calling. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) derided the inquiry as “Soviet-style impeachment proceedings” ― a phrase that makes little historical or practical sense ― while Nunes accused Democrats and the media of being a “cult.”

But so far none of the conservative efforts to discredit the probe seem to have stuck or remained consistent,....

The Republican party has fallen to sabotaging the loyal opposition.

That's just how desperate they are to hold on to power when they know they don't have a national mandate.

What percentage of American voters have to support something for it to be a so called "national mandate"?

My point being there is no such concept as a "national mandate".   This is just a silly talking point used by politicians to justify their actions.

Burr (R-NC) needs to be the Republicans' Adult Supervision now.

He needs to go to the Senate caucus and say, "It's over—we can't save this president. Let's just try to keep Pence clear of it so he can run."

That's how this has to go: *one* influential GOP adult needs to stand up.

Bevin demands recanvassing in Kentucky governor's race

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin's campaign on Wednesday formally asked for a recanvassing of the votes from Tuesday's election. Bevin, the Republican incumbent, trailed the state's Democratic attorney general, Andy Beshear, by fewer than 5,000 votes. "The people of Kentucky deserve a fair and honest election....."

Probably does not bother him a lot. He knows KY voters and Bevins was a very unpopular governor.  All the other GOPers apparently easily won their races in KY.

No way. When he goes down, he's likely to take the rest of the GOP with him -- which could have a major impact for many years. Lindsey Graham actually predicted it three years ago.
