Greene under fire for comparing mask policy to the Holocaust-

"Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is again finding herself at the center of controversy after she compared House Democrats’ mask policy to the Holocaust.

Greene raised eyebrows Friday when she called Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) “mentally ill” and compared the House rule on masks to “a time in history when people were told to wear a gold star, and they were definitely treated like second-class citizens, so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany.”

Those comments sparked broad pushback, with critics saying the comparison to the Holocaust was beyond the pale.

“You can never compare health-related restrictions with yellow stars, gas chambers & other Nazi atrocities. Such comparisons demean the Holocaust & contaminate American political speech. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene must immediately retract and apologize,” tweeted the American Jewish Congress..........

“Comparing wearing masks to the abuse of the Holocaust is a not so subtle diminution of the horrors experienced by millions. It’s a grotesque idiocy mixed with a neurotic lack of self awareness. What do you expect from a truther, Q believer, and gaslighting conspiracy theorist?” said former Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-Va.),..........

"............we've been told repeatedly in recent months that Democrats have a responsibility to sit down with the Republican minority, offer concessions, make compromises, and earn GOP buy-in on everything from infrastructure to voting rights, immigration to criminal justice reforms.

It's a perspective rooted in the idea that Republicans are prepared to pursue meaningful goals with their Democratic brethren. They're not, and to pretend otherwise is increasingly ridiculous...........

Democrats can and should learn from Chip Roy's candor. Democrats have the procedural wherewithal to advance popular and important legislation without Republicans' input, and GOP lawmakers are practically inviting the governing majority to do exactly that."

McConnell and others said this months ago.  Nothing new here.

Unhinged GOP Rep Ken Buck lies and says Google changed 15 million votes from trump to Biden. To be clear Google didn’t change any votes let alone 15 million. Republicans have completely lost it. Let’s make this viral. Via @lawindsor

By now, of course, anti-vaccination has become a test of faith for the American right and even to many of the supposedly "rationalist" anti-Wokesters.

Murdoch took care to vaccinate himself of course. He shoved his way to the front of the British vaccine queue three weeks ahead of the Queen. But his network works night and day to dissuade his viewers from protecting themselves as Murdoch protected himself.

On present trajectory, Canada will overtake US double-vaccination rate sometime probably this month. The US is slowing not because of any healthcare failure, no lack of vaccine. It's attributable instead to a mighty anti-health propaganda effort headed by Trump and Murdoch

Let them rave on that people shall know them mad.

The not-really-a-rally served its purpose;    increasing funding to their campaigns.      I assume that was their MO from the start.

1) schedule rallies they know city \ county officials will either not issue permits for or cancel permits already granted (which 3 areas in CA did, which is why this "rally" was held on the street).

2) scream about censorship, denying of free speech,  and cancel-culture,  big talking points for fund raising.

3)  watch the checks come in.

Of course I have no way to know if a well populated rally would have lead to more funding then this "canceled-culture" one,  but my gut tells me the latter gets more suckers to write checks.

"Missouri Gov. Mike Parson has said he opposed any federal officials coming to his state to help with the vaccination campaign, while South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster warned state agencies against working with anyone from the White House who is promoting vaccination."

Estimated U.S. COVID-19 Deaths Due To POTUS Inaction
In January 2020, the Trump administration was advised that immediate action was required to stop the spread of COVID-19. According to NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, “there was a lot of pushback” to this advice. President Trump declined to act until March 16th. Experts estimate that, had mitigation measures been implemented one week earlier, 60% of American COVID-19 deaths would have been avoided. (For further reading, click here).
