Look for the name of a "modern" Westerner

The guy had a horse he just could ride when both of them were drunk. So, when he wanted to ride, he had a bottle of Whisky and he gave one bottle to his horse...

I just remember a part of the movie, when he got into trouble with some people in a helicopter and roped it. His saddle cinch broke, the helicopter dragged the saddle off the horse, the saddle got caught in some rocks and the helicopter went down.

Anybody out there, who knows the name of the movie??? Could have been with Charles Bronson, but I'm not sure about this.

Any suggestions???
