When did AMC first jump the shark?

I agree. As for "The Coca-Cola Kid", that is no classic. It never will be. No movie with Eric or Julia Roberts will be. Also, they began to air "American Pop" with its crappy drive-in fare like I Was a Teenage Werewolf and It Conquered the World, then they began to air lousy Romance Classics made-for-TV movies, then billboarding the logo through the entire film, then endless showings of Predator and Jaws, then the commercials before films, then even worse drive-in fare like Mars Needs Women and Creature of Destruction, then useless garbage like Mother Jugs and Speed and Hercules in New York, then commercials between films, then new "classics" like The Good Son and Speed, then commercials every 10 minutes. Along the way, much less B&W and Technicolor films from the 30s, 40s and 50s. Pretty soon, the number of pre-1960 films went from 90 percent to only 25 as it is now.
