Unemployment continues to skyrocket because Trump failed to respond appropriately and timely to the Covid-19 Pandemic.  His incompetence has resulted in business failures and foreclosures on homes and other property.

Unemployment is rising, businesses are failing or having great financial difficulty because pandemic is becoming worse because Trump failed to do what he should have back in March.  He continues to FAIL to do what he should do and hamstrings the government in its ability to deal with the pandemic.

Meanwhile the rich and corporations get richer and richer and richer.

About 200 of the country's top business leaders -- leaders of Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Pfizer, Microsoft, NBA, and many others -- are out with a letter pushing Congress to certify for Biden. Many of NYC's most influential leaders are on list. https://washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/01/04/business-leaders-support-biden-win/

Exactly.  They recognize that Trump Lost and any further disruption and coup attempts will merely cause damage to American economy, Wall St. and the nation as a whole.  Too bad the Trumpists on this site do not understand economics as much as they think they do.  The greatest threat to Wall St, the Stock Market and the Economy is inconsistency and upheaval.

They would prefer a Biden presidency, a Pelosi House and a Schumer Senate to what Trump and his co-conspirators have unleashed.

Yes.  If there's anything business leaders like, it's stability, or at least predictability.  You can't make plans when things are up in the air, or are in a state of upheaval.

Perhaps that's one reason why Trump's companies have had six bankruptcies.

Bloomberg News had a very informative report on Trump's Tariff war with China.  Us lost across the board.

China did not lower their prices, so American consumers paid 100% of the tariffs.  American companies using Chinese components had to raise their prices losing out to competitors in other countries.  American companies in China did not return to USA, but instead stayed in China.  China developed closer relationships with other countries, particularly in Asia displacing the US.  Add in the billions of borrowed money the government had to give to farmers and others.  Chinese manufacturing expanded.

The bigger problem that is not really being addressed is that the population growth is outpacing water resources.

Here in the DFW area, the population is near 8 million.  Thirty years ago it was about 3.8  million.  Only one new reservoir was built in that time.  One just started construction, but won't be available for use for years yet.  The Ft. Worth water district tried to import water from Oklahoma reservoirs , which has an excess, but was stopped due to lost law suit that ended up in the US Supreme Court.

The Debt is horrendous ... and the stimulus' long term positive effects are dubious at best ... the answer is modern monetary theory for the left ... simply print more money and don't worry about the debt ... use higher taxes to pay it off ... mostly from the rich ... problem is there  is not enough of the rich ... solution: go down the food chain and tax 401K's and IRA's ... inheritance ... and on we go ...

Limbaugh: There Are Those Of You Who Are Allowed To Make Money And Those That Aren't, "Everything Is Rigged"

RUSH LIMBAUGH: Let me go over some things here just to set the table, give you some things that are gonna shake out today that we’re gonna be talking about. There’s a fascinating thing — it is the most fascinating thing that’s going on out there a long time. Have you heard the story? Do you know the details of what’s going with GameStop?

Folks, it’s not just political now. The elites are bent out of shape that a bunch of average, ordinary users have figured out how to make themselves billionaires using – (interruption) I’m gonna explain it. I’m gonna take the time necessary to explain this. You’re damn right. I’ve been studying it all morning. And the best thing I can tell you is that whatever you think is going on in politics — the Washington establishment, the deep state, what have you — it’s the same thing in finance. There are those who are allowed to make all of the money and those of you who aren’t.

And if you figure out how to make a lot of money and if you’re like Donald Trump and you figure out how to get elected, you figure out how to beat the deep state, they’re gonna come out and they’re gonna wipe you out; they’re gonna destroy you. That’s what’s happening with GameStop. A bunch of people on Reddit figured out how to game the system. They figured out how to turn the system into a profit-making device for themselves.
