>How did you find out about the one in April?

The usual double & triple-checking the schedule by daily & weekly & monthly views - as you know, we can get different results every time!

Charley Chase short IN WALKED CHARLEY (1932) coming up on TCM on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 7:38 P.M. (eastern time).

I don't believe TCM has ever shown this one before.

Would like to find someone who recorded "Now We'll Tell One" and/or "I'll Take Vanilla".

Have lots of Chase / other Hal Roach films and other TCM shorts to trade.

PM.

THE COUNT TAKES THE COUNT (1936) will be playing Sunday, May 4 at 9:40am ET.

I don't think I've ever seen this one:

I think just about every one they show is new to me. An exception would be Fate's Fathead, which is being shown in a few days, and which I would heartily recommend, especially for the sequence in and around the park at the beginning.

James Finlayson and Billy Gilbert (both so great in Laurel & Hardy films) co-star.

Nature In The Wrong (1933)

The Real McCoy (1930)

And What a Bozo (1931)

All have been shown in the past few weeks in between movies. I enjoy the treasure hunt type schedeling but damn it's frustrating when I miss it because they schedule them only a few days ahead of time. We need a proper CharleyChase time block!

Hopefully this one gets shown Monday (the 13th) morning (for yee Night Owls) after midnight as part of a cluster of silent Hal Roach rarities.

Charley My Boy (January 24, 1926 release)

TCM played FATE'S FATHEAD this morning.  What I didn't know until just a little while ago is that Charley Chase passed away on this date in 1940.

Kudos to TCM for acknowledging this by scheduling the short.
