movieman1957
Anyone who can direct "Love Affair" and "Duck Soup" is someone to learn about. He also did a host of Laurel and Hardy and Charley Chase pictures. Thanks Kyle.

movieman1957
Mention it. I still have "Ruggles" from when it was on before to watch so there is another in the mix. My favorite exchange from "Duck Soup" is where a cabinet minister tells Firefly - "The workers want shorter hours." Firefly replies "Good, we'll cut their lunch hour to twenty minutes." I always thought that a prime example in the "be careful what you ask for" category.

JackFavell
Now see, that line says to me they were SO ahead of their time...... Probably my favorite Groucho line of all time is in Duck Soup: "Ah, married. I can see you right now in the kitchen, bending over a hot stove. Only I can't see the stove." MissGoddess
It's really bad again today and I doubt this post will get through. But Kyle, lovely Italian poster for TQM, I never saw it before. Love Leo McCarey, a truly gifted director. Love *Duck Soup*. With breadsticks!

FrankGrimes
I never knew Gary Cooper starred in an Ingmar Bergman flick. Wow! The artist truly captured him in that poster, too. Amazing!
