Kyle, I have to tell you how much I am enjoying your complete day at the movies posts. It's fantastic to see all the great (and not so great) stuff you got to see when you plunked down your 50 cents in 1939. Plus, it's not often that you get to see the posters for the cartoons and short subjects.

First, Happy (belated) Fourth! :)

Naturally, I love the Good Girls Go To Paris poster (although I'm bracing for snarky comments from a certain Mr. Grimes), but I also loved yesterday's Flying G-Men!

*"Kyle, I have to tell you how much I am enjoying your complete day at the movies posts."* - JackFavell

Thank you!

It has taken quite the effort to assemble all the posts for this month. Of course, I am to blame for this month's theme becoming ever more expansive. Pairing up "A-list" films with "B-Pictures" seemed interesting enough. But I still had a few "extra" images of interest - yet no way to incorporate them into the "1939" series unless I could find some more. So I was scouring the web looking for additional images right up until the First of July.

I am happy you are enjoying the "Complete Program" posts. I am proud of those compilations and pleased with the result too. They will continue every weekend in July.

*"Naturally, I love the Good Girls Go To Paris poster (although I'm bracing for snarky comments from a certain Mr. Grimes)"* - Mlle. Minya

"Certainment!" or as Fourth Stooge Frankie Grimes will likely say "Soitainly!"

It was a last minute change to include it as I set it aside to use in September when the film plays on TCM. But I thought it best to use it now instead.

*"...I also loved yesterday's Flying G-Men!"*

Maybe someday I'll get to post *Junior G-Men of the Air*. Or *Zombies Of The Stratosphere*. Or *Captain Video*. But Lord only knows how I'll be able to work those in.

Hope you had a glorious Fourth too!

All of these titles sound wonderful! Especially Zombies Of The Stratosphere, Weirder the better-I finally watched Rat Pfink a Boo Boo (great backstory to that title) and The Incredibly Strange Creatures... that I DVRd ages ago. It went great with my True Blood Marathon.

I have complete faith that you will find the most interesting way to display those posters. :)

Great title for the boards lately - Wotta Nightmare. Where's Popeye when you need him? :)

I know I said this before, but I am tantalized by these full line-ups. I wish TCM would do one once in a while. I know they sort of mimic that format now, but wow! can you imagine getting to see a full Saturday format from the cartoons, right through the newsreels to the feature film? It would be even better to be able to time travel and go to the theater and sit there all day for 25 or 50 cents!!?

Great job, Kyle. Thanks for giving us a little taste of what it was like....
