hlywdkjk
Ida Lupino had yet to become the sultry star of *High Sierra* or *They Drive By Night*. Those roles were still to come. She was probably lucky to get equal billing with Fay Bainter for this film. Plus, *The Lady And The Mob* _is_ a comedy. Sex was probably not a big part of the story and would have been a conflicting message to incorporate into the poster. And I have no other images for this film. If you are interested, *The Lady And The Mob* will be shown on August 27^th^ as part of Ida Lupino's day of "Summer Under The Stars". http://www.tcm.com/thismonth/article/?cid=159667 Kyle In Hollywood

patful
As many times as I've watched it, I never realized *On Borrowed Time* was on Broadway first. Thanks, Kyle.

Minya
Kyle- I feel as if I've fallen behind in declaring my admiration for your thread. But this forum has been so sticky that I become frustrated quickly with the difficulty of trying to post a simple message. But I loved Dick Tracy's G Men, Dark Victory and the Saint Strikes Back. All fabulous-as usual you've made great choices.

hlywdkjk
*"I feel as if I've fallen behind in declaring my admiration for your thread."* - Mlle. Minya Not to worry. You have been my most ardent fan for so long that a few days absence is no cause for worry on my part - other than to wonder how YOU are. And a hope that these blasted boards hadn't driven you away for good. Otherwise who will be around to appreciate the ones like this? kjk

patful
*Someone acknowledged the "tongue-in-cheekiness" of some of these double bills.* - Kyle Well, some of us are more dense than others. :-) I can't look at a picture and think at the same time. Mr. Laughton's face looks a little...um...tanned in that one.

hlywdkjk
Maybe I was trying too hard. But for me, some of the "better" pairs include - Dorothy & "Missing Daughters" (OK, she was really a niece...) Mr. Smith & "Honest Man" The Women & the "Lost Men" Ninotchka & "Paris" "Dr. Livingstone" & "Dr. Christian" "Huckleberry" Rooney & "Mickey The Kid" Kyle In Hollywood
