coincides with my next clue which is - gambling.

i'll add one more - word association which brings

speaker and movie.

okay, let's finish this

the quote was "one times one is one, one times two is two,

one times three is three".

Elvis Presley in Follow That Dream.

His character Toby begins the multiplication tables whenever

he feels a little threatened by the opposite sex.

someone else can carry on.

Thanks norbell,

Just to get things going again, here's one: " there is no people on Earth who would not prefer their own bad government to the good government of an alien power. "

Okay, how about this one: "It was a hot afternoon, and I can still remember the smell of honeysuckle all along that street. How could I have known that murder can sometimes smell like honeysuckle?"

Well, it's been 2 days, so try this one: "Did you ever reach a point in your life, where you say to yourself: 'This is the best I'm ever going to look, the best I'm ever going to feel, the best I'm ever going to do,' and it ain't that great?"

Ooh, that's a pretty famous quote. Billy Crystal, in "City Slickers" (1991).

Dan

Okay, here is one that every fan of classic films should know.

"Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy."

Who said that, and in what film?

Here's a clue: It's a man, and he says that line several times in the movie. And no, it isn't about going to church.

Who said it?

Cheers,

Dan

Fredric March from INHERIT THE WIND?

No, not Fredric March. Remember, March played a windbag of a preacher in that film, and "going to church" was what he was all about. The subject of our question repeats the quote outside of any religious connotation... except, of course, that Genesis etc. are the names of books in the Old Testament.

A new clue:

Our man was an Oscar winner -- not, however, for the movie in which he said this quote. And he repeats it, several times in this film.

Who seddit?

Cheers,

Dan

Here's another hint:

The movie in question is a Hollywood film, but the actor was born in the UK.

Here's the quote again:

"Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy."

Who said that, and in what film?

Cheers,

Dan
