Wow! It's quite interesting being on the other side of caps. I've never seen People Will Talk but I laughed out loud at both scenes that you posted. My favorite line was, "and with a catastrophe like this, he either resigns or blows his brains out." That killed me.

Nicely done!

You know I only buy DVDs to post screen caps. ;) I'm guessing I'll like Fort Apache because of Fonda but I'm not sure about She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. Rio Grande is going to be very tough to top because of my love for Maureen O'Hara.>>

Frankie,

It's best not to compare the Cavalry trilogy and just enjoy them individually for the rousing, good films they are and enjoy them as you watch Ford continue to hone his craft and some of the themes that he will revisit again in ten to fifteen years.

*Yellow Ribbon* is every bit as good as *Fort Apache* and *Rio Grande* but in different ways. One of the joys of *Yellow Ribbon* is seeing Wayne play older than he really was and we can't forget how wonderful Ben Johnson is as Tyree. It's a good story and the cinematography is breathtaking at times.

They are all good films filled with subtle moments and lots of ritual and family. Each one on its own is filled with delights. All three together are Ford heaven.

oh april! thank you so much, i love the train scenes!! they are the best at showing train playing in movies. it just makes you giggle. it made me giggle! i could really picture cary playing with train sets in real life with lee marvin. what a site, and then something would inadvertently brake and they would be blaming it on each other. couldnt you just see it? heehee!

You're welcome, Theresa. It's funny how grown men become children over their "toys". I'd hate to be Cary Grant if Lee Marvin got upset at me for wrecking his train. It might turn ugly!

yeah i could quite agree. lee marvin was rather concentrated with his little choo choo train as was cary with his beep beep beep. poor jeanne had to put up with it and it was just too much for her so she ran to the bedroom. poor baby! goodness.

this reminds me of another certain someone on here that we seem to have push into a vat of boling chocolate. has he recooperated yet? have you seen him around or did he drown? heehee! :P

ha! Maybe he's so fond of chocolate he doesn't want to come out. We'll have to tempt him with something better than chocolate.

Ha haaaaa!! Theresa, you are too funny. Frank---I think we have a future femme fatale in the making. She's really very ingenuous in thinking of ways to torture a man. ;)

I'm just playing, T. And I think you're right about the cheese---there's entirely too much of that in him already. :P Let's see---how about we tie him to a chair and make him watch Pride and Prejudice, Melody Jones and The Parent Trap?

Hola, Miss Finishing School -- Frank---I think we have a future femme fatale in the making. She's really very ingenuous in thinking of ways to torture a man.

You would know... which is why I've been doing all I can to keep her away from you.

I'm just playing, T.

Torture is play for you. :P

And I think you're right about the cheese---there's entirely too much of that in him already.

Let's see---how about we tie him to a chair and make him watch Pride and Prejudice, Melody Jones and The Parent Trap?

Kill me now!

It's The Parent Trap. :P

The Parent Trap? That sounds like a torture device for you. :P

Good Evenin', ButtersweetGLORIA -- This looks to be yet another trap.

only if you see it that way. remember you have short term memory loss so you will probably forget all about it...of course you will have to awaken from unconsciousness first. heehee!

This sounds like the symptoms of a man who has just watched Pride and Prejudice.

Absobloominlutely! That's part of the brainwashing, making sure he knows which version is best. :)

Ohhh, I, uhhh, saw the good version. Translation: I haven't seen any of them because

there's no such thing as a good version of Pride and Prejudice.

Now what were you saying, Frank? You should start to feel drowsy soon....just relax....

Did you really? Oh how cute! I love black cats---and Siamese cat's too. There is something uncanny about them. Whatever happened to the black cat that was seen scurrying in the vicinity of your apartment complex was it? You know, when the mysterious guy asked you if it was yours?

Yes, my little Pyewacket. I didn't have him long, however. He was terribly skittish, and eventually ran away, out the door and into the Bronx night. For all I know, he's still wandering those streets with one of his nine lives.

I haven't seen my Boca feline since that night. Maybe an alligator ate him.

We have a lot of canals here, and the reptiles are simmering beneath the surface.

A real tropical paradise I live in, LOL.
