Bronxgirl48
I cannot take the bugs. Or the snakes. But lizards are an entirely different matter. I had a baby anole on my wall for about a day -- he seemed to be stuck there. I thought he was dead but all of a sudden when I blinked he was gone. For all I know he's in my apartment, but that's o.k. with me.

Bronxgirl48
Yes, the Captain's portrait is over my bed. My condo actually does resemble Gull Cottage. Maine is for the simple, elemental pleasures in life: gobbling up a succulent lobster roll; inhaling the restorative sea air; falling asleep to the sound of the ocean in your ears, climbing a lighthouse, strolling the woods for blueberries. Bronxgirl48
That's my baby anole!! Look at that face: how could you not love it?? Excuse me while I inflate Stuart, LOL.
FrankGrimes
Hola, Miss G(ator) -- You just have no appreciation. They are sweet, precious little darlings. I have appreciation for the young, it's just that I'm surprised you do. G'day, Bronx Matey -- I must have been an old salt in a previous lifetime. My living room has a nautical feel, with pictures of lighthouses. I have model ships and hurricane lamps scattered about. Hurricane lamps make sense. Model ships? Val Lewton would love you. If you know how to tie knots, you would be set. Give that man a Gloria doll! (hey, I've got a Stuart Whitman doll in my closet waiting to be....oops, sorry) Ah, we're all desperate; just a matter of degree, LOL. I guess you think my desperate meter is full. Stop peeking! Excuse me while I inflate Stuart, LOL. Somebody is very frisky tonight!

Bronxgirl48
I've got a miniature Richard Dix figure on one of my ships. Strange how the other little crew members have vanished on it...... Ar-r-r-r-r, me hearty. I hear whistling in my apartment. I think it's Emyln Williams as Harry the smuggler from JAMAICA INN. (loved the book; hate the movie, except for Laughton, of whom Hitch revels in the character's hypocrisy) Excuse me, Stuart is calling. He wants me to play THE COMANCHEROS score to really get him in the mood. I'm insulted. Message was edited by: Bronxgirl48

FrankGrimes
Howdy, Barbaralero -- I've got a miniature Richard Dix figure on one of my ships. Strange how the other little crew members have vanished on it...... Very good! You are swift. Lewton's The Ghost Ship. Ar-r-r-r-r, me hearty. I hear whistling in my apartment. I think it's Emyln Williams as Harry the smuggler from JAMAICA INN. (loved the book; hate the movie, except for Laughton, of whom Hitch revels in the character's hypocrisy) Jamaica Inn is one of the most tedious films Hitch ever made. Excuse me, Stuart is calling. He wants me to play THE COMANCHEROS score to really get him in the mood. I'm insulted. Ooohhh, I like his choice of mood music. Ciao, Missy G(ator) -- Burt doesn't think so. Is that true, Burt? At least Burt is very loving and caring. He's only looking out for your well-being.

Bronxgirl48
Yes. Too bad I never found The Zodiac Club on 6th Avenue and 13th Street. (where I lived) Night-night. Sweet Pappy dreams: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcuUvtenx6w
MissGoddess
Thank you, Bronxie. No matter how many times I watch that scene---that movie (Young Mr L), I can't help but start crying. It's "painted" in the most delicate melancholy and nostalgiac emotions. Criterion did a fabulous job with their release and it's one of my most treasured dvds. And that music! Bronxgirl48
It never fails to move me as well. I love Fonda in these scenes. "I wish I could have tipped it your way..." Ford is a poet.

butterscotchgreer
Hiya, ButtersweetGLORIA -- yes too much cheese in him, bab idea! i think your idea is perfect!! yes we will tie his neck to the chair so his head will stay straight and that way he will have to watch pride and prejudice! but it cant be just any version...it has to be greer's and larry's! You play rough! The only thing worse than watching Greer Garson films is watching Gary Cooper films. And if anyone names them as their very favorite actress and actor, I feel sorry for them. What a sad case they are. They must have bumped their head and lost their memory. i only play rough around you, frankie. heehee! so youre saying you will watch Pride and Prejudice? because it IS better than watching gary cooper movies...in your words. heehee! im not agreeing with that, but you are evidently. heehee! I plan to. I'm not going to watch your trashy films. you must be confusing me with yourself. heehee! im not the one watching Zodiac. i only watch lovey dovey movies that make you so happy that you cry. Sweet who? Whoever that witch is, she has a spell on you. that speel we put on you is working better than i though, quick april make another batch, we dont want him to wake up. heehee! it gives him short term memory loss! there is only one Gloria, ButterscotchGRACE oh gloria grahame. i wasnt thinking outside the box. heehee! i kept seeing the G in front and thinking grace kelly b/c thats who you usually put. "oh boy have i got a plan! the rhigata(did i spell that wrong? heehee)!" "the rhigata...the plan involves a boat?"
FrankGrimes
Hiya, Super Sweet T! -- i only play rough around you, frankie. heehee! so youre saying you will watch Pride and Prejudice? because it IS better than watching gary cooper movies...in your words. heehee! im not agreeing with that, but you are evidently. heehee! Pride and Prejudice better than a Coop film? Hmmmmm. I need to retract my statement. I'm gonna watch P&P and afterwards I'll promptly head to roof with John Doe. I plan to. I'm not going to watch your trashy films. you must be confusing me with yourself. heehee! im not the one watching Zodiac. Zodiac is not trashy. That's classy. i only watch lovey dovey movies that make you so happy that you cry. Precisely. Trash! oh gloria grahame. i wasnt thinking outside the box. heehee! i kept seeing the G in front and thinking grace kelly b/c thats who you usually put. Gloria and Grace do so much more for you than GREER.
