Web
Immortal Battalion (1944) will be on TCM, Wednesday Dec. 12th, yet the movie doesn't seem to be in TCM's database. Not even in it's original title, The Way Ahead. And it looks like the Immortal Battalion version is missing about 15 minutes from the original film. Perhaps TCM was so embarrassed that they were showing a cut version that they left the film out of their database entirely. Not.
CineSage_jr
Far more importantly, TCM only seems to have the U.S. cut of the film (91 mins.), drastically shorter than the original 115-minute U.K. version. Find a full-length print, TCM!
markfp2
The TCM database is actually owned and maintained by The American Film Institute and while they've never claimed to include every film ever made, I do find it a little surprising IMMORTAL BATTALION isn't included. As for the running time, I'll pad out my recording time by 20 minutes just to be safe. It wouldn't be the first time that a running time was wrong in the schedule. CineSage_jr
TCM's shown the film before, and it's always been the short U.S. version.
